Does anyone have a dual fuel stove?

I think the cabinets above the stove should be able to hold a heavy load, it depends how they were installed. I don't think they are only for holding paper plates, and mine is actually holding a very heavy convection microwave oven. Most microwaves are attached to the cabinets above them, not the wall.

No, the cabinets were installed properly and they had a microwave under the cabinet also...I was talking about the stuff you keep inside them. He opened the cabinet door and the lid fell out and landed on the glass stove top and broke it to pieces.

Oh I thought you meant the cabinet fell down on it. Yes, something falling out of the cabinet could be a problem. I need to read more carefully!
