My father sent this to me with the caption, "Why you can't have an Audi."

Personally, I don't understand why Audi's are so expensive. They've doubled in price in the last 10 years or so.

I don't really have a dream car, I'm not really that into cars. That being said, I do have a bias to vintage and antique cars. Fast cars, yawn.

Lamborghini.......since I seem to be spending so much time on my butt, on the floor,this is right up my alley....I think it has a ground clearance of 8 inches...but I cant have one UNTILL I CAN SPELL IT!!!!!!!!!

My dream car ( SUV) is a GMC acadia. My sons say the only way I could get one is if it came with a step stool for me to climb into it. I have 2 comedians for sons!:)

I already have my dream car...a gift from my DH for our 25th anniversary a few years ago..I had wanted one for years..a 1965 Mustang convertible. I have a 2005 Mustang convertible too and If I get my big dream I will have a 2015 one also...so I would have a set...the first one...40th year one and 50th year one..haha a girl can dream:p...This is Louise..my 65

I had a 67. It was my first car. I don't know what the hell my dad was thinking giving a 16 yr old a V8! Needless to say I crashed it within a year.

I wanted a 60s Mercedes convertible for the longest time. Then I learned that old cars don't have the suspension and power steering of modern cars. I like a comfy ride. I lost my love for vintage cars....and convertibles. As I told you, I like shade and a/c.

LOL, love it! They need a nickname. I can't ride in my father's Camaro anymore because it is like dragging my rear end down the pavement. I feel every pebble we drive over. Too claustrophobic too. Strangely, the doggies don't mind. I would think they would be scared out of their wits.

Haha, a step stool! You could have a custom ladder built in. I am a tall person and I still have trouble getting into a lot of SUVs.

Haha, a step stool! You could have a custom ladder built in. I am a tall person and I still have trouble getting into a lot of SUVs.

I'm so happy that Louis is doing well. She is gorgeous. I'll cross my fingers for you for the 2015 Mustang. Looking forward to the side by side pics. :D

Well you can fix them so that they do have a/c. My mustang didn't have power brakes but it did have power steering. And automatic transmission. You may notice a lot of vintage cars have huge steering wheels. That's so if they don't have power steering, you have more leverage.

There are few Mercedes I like, and the gullwing style is one of the best. But my favorite era of cars is the 1930's esp the BMWs. Most those didn't even have tops LOL

Bwahahaha..my dad likes muscle cars too..my first car was a Plymouth Duster with a big honking V-8..I think it was a 340 or something..not really sure. I do know it would fly, but I hated it because it was a very ugly color..it looked like this one..haha

Oh no! Your dad was nuts. I learned to drive in a Chevy with a big V8. It was way too much for me to handle. Press the accelerator and you are in the next state. :D

Going back to the cost of the Audi...I agree, they are overpriced. My 2001 VW Jetta is the same car as the Audi A4 and all of my parts have both emblems on them. Putting the parts in my car costs a third of the price as putting them in the Audi.

That was bigger than mine. The 67s were supposed to come with 287s but the original owners had changed it out to the 68 block and was a 302. I got less than 10 mpg, but that was when gas was less than a $1/gallon.

I really regret crashing that car. It was so fun to drive. It did break down a lot, so I learned a lot about working on cars when I was a teenager. Nowadays with all the computerized parts it's all different though. :( I like the simple mechanics, that's why I like working on bikes now!

Dick Cheney's daughter backed into the fender the night before we moved from DC to Chicago. The Cheneys were very nice and paid for the repairs.

My father shares your lament about all of the computerization....being beholden to the mechanics at the dealership.

The old cars are fun to drive and to work on. I can do a lot of the mechanical work on my 65..wouldn't dare touch anything under the hood of my 2005.

I want one of thise all steel 1950s wagons all Hawaiian style, I want a faux restored modified one though.

I need third row seating, the original all leather interior but modern electrics, and not to mention I want an ekectric powered one...

Unfortunately it doesn't exist but if it did I'd get it in chrome teal white interior and of course wall tires to match the retro woodgrain paneling.

I have always loved the design of super boxy SUVs -- like the older (ie, 1990s- early 2000's) Land Rover (love!); in vintage, I love the old International Scout, really old Ford Broncos, and the safari versions of the Land Rover.

My absolute dream car would be the Mercedes G-class SUV - just a total BOX and I love the design of it.

Right now my dream car is the chrome Audi R8 GT Spyder which recently sold at auction for $400,000.00 but you can pick up the one I want for $239,000.00. They are hand made. 560 horses.

We had a '69 Mercedes and inside it smelled like a dream. Smelled of leather and fine wood. Stick shift and so expensive to repair! Only a few places in Dallas back then were certified to repair one.

I think I have pretty much the dream vehicle now, or as close to it as can be. I really like "heavy", makes me feel safer, but given the trend in sizing, I'd better hang on to what I have, cause they're not getting larger.

My two guys enjoy the nice large cargo area of what I call "The Green Hornet" :D (it weighs 5300 lbs) ;)

I'm driving my dream car. It's paid for and it's the ONLY one I've seen just like it in the five years that I've owned my little blue Mini Cooper S. I don't have a problem spotting it in a parking lot :D

I have always loved the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud!!!! I think i will have to settle for having it as my limo for my wedding next year....white of course!!
