Trust me, I wasn't prepared for that. I expected him to wake up a wounded warrior who needed taken care of. I didn't expect to babysit someone who had lost all sense of their faculties.

I did think about having him checked out but quickly realized life is extremely short in comparison to eternity. I didn't want to deprive myself of quality, free entertainment just in case we don't end up at the same place in the end.

Truthfully, I think your husband was fine on the anesthesia. He was a colorful character. It's no wonder anesthesia would have that effect on him (make him extra colorful).

I just read through this entire post.... first, I am sorry to hear of DH's unsavory thoughts to prove he still has it when he is twice the age of his cohorts. That said, I was dying reading about him trying to tell you how to drive - partly because I have been in the same boat, only with a sober DH... mind you, he totaled his car and the spare tire that once hung so nicely on the tailgate of my jeep, now sits crooked. He was backing it up in our driveway and managed to connect with a pine tree that has to be older than both of our ages combined....I, on the other hand, have a pristine driving record and the accidents that I have been involved in of the past almost 30 years that I have been driving have not been my fault.

You really should consider publishing your stories... you are a phenomenal writer! Thank you for the entertainment tonight.
