![]() Whenever we get to a hotel room, I always 'undo' the bed and have a look at the mattress and pillows (I don't know why, I think it's the thought of lumps or strange marks ![]() At home, it's usually one of my children that come to stay, and I've 'trained' them to strip the bed when they leave ![]() ![]() Our bed, I change weekly - but we have a quilty thing on top that's Harry's, and I wash that every few days. | ![]() oh yes, yes I do! if someone sleeps over I always change the sheets. Thats just gross not to! I always clean the bathrooms spotless and mop/vacuum the floors too. Except if it's my brother ... I don't panic on cleaning up for him so much! I do vacuum and sweep/mop the floors though since the kids crawl.

| ![]() I change the sheets right after guests leave... But I have to admit, I don't wash them again right before another guest comes... Should I be doing this? The door is always closed and I don't let the cats or dogs sleep on that bed ![]()

| ![]() We don't even HAVE sheets on the spare bed between guests lol! We strip the bed and wash the sheets when the guests leave, and just set the blanket and pillows back over the mattress (well, we also have a mattress cover on the mattress). Then when we are getting company, we get a set of clean sheets from the linen closet to make the bed! Our dogs don't go in there and we don't have guests very often.

hmm... that is a good idea... that way if you don't have company for a long time you don't feel like the sheets need to be changed again.

| ![]() I am just forgetful and I feel like if I put a new set on right away, when we got company again I'd be wondering if they were actually new sheets or if I forgot to strip the bed last time lol!!!

| ![]() When the guest leaves, I strip their bed and do the sheets, put the bed all back together with my "ensemble" and it is fresh and waiting for the next visitor! With the arrival of another guest, I remove the "ensemble" comforter and all the pillow shams, replacing them with either feather pillows or memory foam pillows, and a light summer comforter, or those ultra soft cashmere feeling blankets. All sheets are changed weekly, if I didnt have such a bad back and can hardly pick up the corner of the Temper-pedic foam mattersses, I would put fresh sheets on twice or thrice weekly!!! I ADORE slipping into a fresh clean bed!!! |
