| Trail riding my horse I was suppose to go on a nice trail ride tomorrow. I bathed my horse. loaded the trailer. I noticed a big chunk out of his hoof. He had a nail part way out which I got out. I called 3 farriers and not one called back. I am waiting for my friend to stop by to see if she thinks I will be able to ride him tomorrow. Why are farriers so hard to get a hold of? They all cannot be that busy with full schedules, can they? Grrrrr |

| Oh, I envy you. I remember my horse Silverheels & how wonderful life was with a horse to love & ride every day. Such adventures we had! Hope you get that farrier soon. They are getting pretty scarce.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I have a good one. But he lives like four hours away. He use to live in my area but moved. Thank goodness he comes a few times a month back to this area. But in a case like this I would be SOS. I sure hope your horse is okay and you get to go..

| Oh how I wanted a horse when I was young! I was lucky enough for my dad to drive me out to Riverside Co a few times a month to go riding when I was in my pre teen years. I haven't gone in decades.

| Glad you got a hold of the farrier, ours used to be totally unreliable. Mom finally fired him last year. I never met the new guy, but I know mom sings his praises. I feel like the majority of the older farriers run the show and are very set in their ways. I know many of the ones down home are unreliable and hard to get a hold of.
