Phones & pics

SO...My husband has been trying to get me to buy a new phone for about 2 years. I have been dragging my feet because there's really nothing wrong with my phone other than it's 4 years old
I have a question. When I get the new phone, will I be able to take the sd card out of the "old" phone & put it into the new phone? I hate the idea of losing 309 pics & 10 videos!

If you are sticking with the same carrier ( or purchasing a new phone from a carrier that carries phones compatible to yours) it is no problem. But why not just put the pics on your computer????

My Iphone required a hard reset last month and I had 3000 (yes three thousand) pics on it that were restored instantly thanks to the miracle of Icloud

And If you had Icloud you could have them both places at once ~ even if one crashed

PS like I just told Shawn......you have at least 5 "phones" worth of fabric that you have forgotten you own stored in your garage

HA! No I don't...it's all in the spare room except for a little bit of fleece!

I just transferred all of my iPhone photos to my desktop and also kept them on my phone. Is it an iPhone you are working with?

Yes the iPhone and the iPad work together great. I just put 1200 pictures I had on my phone to my desktop this weekend. Then i kept the ones I wanted to show people on my phone. My dh has not had a new phone in many years. I am also trying to talk him into the iPhone.. My vote is update

I would have my pictures in more than one place. It is easy to download and upload pictures with the iphone

I just updated to a new I Phone, so glad I did. Was a back and forth decision between it and the Razor Maxx, after getting the I Pad 2, knew the I Phone was it I really like the Apple products.

Thanks to Jacqueline's help and also to the book I purchased I'm learning how to make the change easier. LOVE THE I PHONE

My current phone is an older LG Lotus with a qwerty (real) keypad. We use Sprint. They're coming out with new releases in 5 days. I'm really liking the Galaxy Nexus (Android platform). I guess I should research all of it a bit more before I make a decision (AND spend money!) LOL, my husband has decided to call me squeeky...he's such a brat.
I guess my biggest thing is why the heck should I pay for "stuff" I'll never use? I want a phone I can share pics with people from, get my silly coupons & get an occasional internet connection when I'm away from home so I can cruise my favorites without lugging around the laptop.

Ok, I'm on DH phone now. DH & DD are picking on me because I have fat fingers & don't
ya know he has to show me EVERYTHING. OH, it's an EVO which is Android.

4 years!!!!???? Mine never last 2 years! And try having a teenager with one! I have to say, I never thought I had a need for an Iphone. But my son talked me into one. And I LOVE it! I can't believe I went this long without one! I don't know about any of the other phones but my friend loves her Droid.

I believe I will always have an Iphone unless someone comes out with something better that is JUST AS EASY to use!!! (B I G consideration.) That is why we bought my computer illiterate mother an IPhone for Christmas!

Oh and Sherry, Lisa has to help me with my Iphone all the time. It is easier to ask her than my son who complains!!!
