2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | The Mirical of LIFE !! Infant found alive in the morge. Infant survives after being born premature, pronounced dead, put in a coffin and than into the refrigerator at the morgue for 10 hours. Her life was truely placed in Gods Hands on that day. | I heard about that on the news and they were talking about what the mother did when they came to see the baby in the morgue and saw it was breathing!!! Can you imagine? It was truly a miracle the little thing lived all that while after being pronounced and with no oxygen, heat, breast milk or water and little air in that coffin - no help at all except God's. That little baby was just meant to live!

| They said she carried the baby for only six months, so they still don't know if the little one will survive or not. I heard all of the personnel involved at the hospital and the morgue were suspended.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I remember talking to someone whose family owned a funeral home and he said this happened at their place of business. The baby cried out when they went to embalm it. This was over 40 years ago, and I hope in this country they take more precautions. Sounds like Argentina should take more precautions as well. I guess I don't see this as a good thing, I see it as horrifying and wonder how many live babies were sent to the funeral home.

| The fact that he made it through such tragic circumstances and that life-saving treatment is giving him a chance to make it now are good things - miracles. How many parents would pry open a nailed coffin? Had his little cry not been noticed when it was - and maybe that was stimulated by the rush of air when the coffin lid was raised by the father - he probably couldn't have lasted much longer in that coffin without air, hydration/food & treatment, not to mention had someone started embalming without noticing SOL. He's been given a second chance at life! But the fact that the hospital apparently only observed for signs of life for a while after he was born with none, tried no resuscitative efforts and pronounced too soon for him is horrifying. No telling how many times this has happened and the baby did die with nobody noticing tiny signs of life once the observation period was over. That gives you the shivers just thinking about it.
