| Geesh, whats next???? Went over to Burlingtons today and when she give me back my check, I have lost it. I had my receipt which I always shred everything, but, I can't believe I lost this check. Will I have to close out our checking account and get another acct. number or since it has cleared at the store, is there anyway this could be misused. I have gone through identity theft several years ago and don't want to go through that again. Has anyone ever had this happen and what did you do? Boy, this has been one week!!!! |

| Can you go to your bank and explain what happened so that they can watch for it or strange activity with your account? I'm no expert but when the checks are run electronically they're usually stamped in the machine right? Sorry you're going through all this. |

| You have to close out your account because they have your account number, even your signature. So, we spent the rest of the day contacting direct deposits. No, more checks. For now on I will just use credit card, even though I don't like too. You have to be real careful. Fortunately this was cleared up pretty fast. When I went through identity thieft a few years ago, it took 2 or 3 months. A real hassale, let me tell ya. I hadn't lost nothing then. We think my driver license number was sold. |

| Sounds like a nightmare to me. I agree though, start watching your accounts closely. Also has your address on there, so watch for strangers in your neighborhood.
