| We Found a Feret My neighbor and I found a Feret this morning in her garage. We were able to catch it and it is now on it way to Haynes Bridge Middle School with my neighbor (she is a Science Teacher). Does anyone have experience with Ferets? What do they eat, how do we care for it? It sure is a cute little thing and she said it is very gentle.

| No experience with ferets except that I've held a few. It's like holding a squirmy, squirrel with no bones. They are really flexible! Lucky little fella that he was found. Are you going to check the 'lost' ads to see if his family is looking for him? |

| Yes we sent out an email blast to our community (I live in a gated community). I also put notice up at my Vets office and we will actively look for his/her owner. We need to get him/her to the Vet this evening for a health check. I found out Petco has specific Feret type food, will get some of that. Honestly it is very cute, but I am not sure I would want a Feret as a pet. I mean they are cute but not "Yorkie cute" and my cat is not a Feret fan.

| I have three ferrets, two kits now 6 months and a 2 year old I rescued off a back deck in October, way too cold. Ferrets are fun creatures. They usually prefer litter pans to potty but don't get clumping cat litter. the kind you can use is corn cob kitty litter or one called sweat I think it is, made out of wheat. They eat ferret kibble the best one is Mazuri or Zupreem Premium both available at Petsmart. Don't let any stupid clerk tell you cat food, that is not the correct diet. They love to burrow into their beds and have all sorts of hideys or fold up a small blanket it will burrow into it. Message me if you want to know more. I have added a picture of myStanley, he is a lovely boy. All are fixed and descented. I also have a picture of one of my pet yorkies, Chantal playing with Comet another rescue. Comet now lives with a dog grooming client and has the run of the house and very good care there. |

| Don't feed them fruit, they can get diabetes very easily from the sugar in fruit. Small bit of banana once in a while would be ok. They don't really do vegetables either. There are some ferret treats available in the pet stores but I give very few only on occasion. |

| I hope you are able to find it's owner... I'm sure he's missed. Ferrets are cute! I've always wondered if they make good pets. I think Couver and Khloe's heads would explode if I brought home a ferret. They love to chase the squirrels, and I think a ferret wouldn't last long around here!

| Thank you guys I passed on the feeding tips and potty info. I spoke with my vet and we now have a referral for an exotic vet for shots and a check up.
