All I can say is I'm married to a smoker. He switched over in March of 2010 and hasn't looked back, its AWESOME! He's one of those that said he enjoyed it too much to ever quit, so I was very surprised when I saw him using these, but also very relieved. Now if I can just get my mom to follow suit. I watched my grandma die of emphysema and I can tell you it was the most awful thing I have ever witnessed. If you can quit, better yet, but if not, I think this is better. |

Update on dh Well, I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband hasn't had a "real" cigarette in 2 days. This is quite an accomplishment for him. (He already smells better, too.). I hope it continues. He said it hasn't been hard at all and that the e-cig is very satisfying. At least it's a start and a very good start! I'm really excited and happy for him. Hopefully, another life will be saved. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and help. |

I just looked back on the posts and you also use the Intellicig. It sounds like you are happy with this choice, too. I'm so thankful for all of the suggestions from everyone. Good luck in your endeavor to stop smoking! |

I was the same as you grumpy-wise! ;) Everything else I tried (patches, gum, nicorette inhalator, Zyban etc. etc. :)) just made me miss 'real' cigarettes more. I think it's because the e-cig works on some many levels - the hand-to-mouth, the 'vapour', the 'hit' - one of THE best inventions ever! :D Keep going - you will succeed - I'm excited for you, too!!! The normal Intellicigs are in 3 parts - the battery which does need re-charging, the bit you screw on that creates the vapour, and the cartridge you put on the end. These can either be pre-filled, or topped up with the e-liquid. It all sounds complicated - but I promise it isn't, once you get into the swing of it. At least you're on the way....! :) Sally x |

As far as the difficulty of using the e-cigs, it doesn't take but a couple of days to get comfortable with it. My husband picked up on it really quick. Also, there are others on this thread that are more than glad to help with questions. I have PMd Sally (Harrysmum) so many times with questions because she is so familiar with the Intellicig brand. I'm going to venture out in the future and order e-liquid from a site that Beecee has suggested. The starter kit comes with 35 pre-filled cartridges which helped my husband until he got the hang of it all. It was suggested that I order two starter kits and I'm glad I did. My husband only let the batteries die once on both of them and he has never made that mistake again. It is second nature to him now. He can do it with his eyes closed! lol Here is the link to the U.S. website. Good luck.
