Exactly. Just remember people...sound too good to be true? It is. EBay is your best bet for secure online auctions. Other sites just really steal your cash or whatever. It's not with it. (I've tried, investigated and research these silly things.)

However, you can send me money to the bank of Nigeria if you like. :)

60 cents per bid isn't expensive when you think about what you're saving.

My husband got his Microsoft X-box 360 4GB from QuiBids and we paid a total of $18.76. That was including all our bids, the total price, and the shipping & handling. It came factory sealed, and shiny brand new. Works like a charm, but now he drive me bonkers playing his games all night, lol

...we really like QuiBids, we just haven't gotten lucky since then. lol

Sorry...my husband corrected me. It was $18.76 that covered all of our bids plus the total price, but we still paid another $20 for shipping....making it around $40.00 total. BUT...still a heck of a deal for a brand new game station that sells for $150 and up.

I'm not saying you will never win, people win at gambling all the time, that's why they continue. How much has he spent all together on the things he didn't win? Has he told you that?

Exactly. It's not a fair bid, rather it's taking a gamble on having the last bid placed at exactly the right time. It's fine if you have the will and don't mind losing some. My biggest gripe is the false advertising.

Yeah, I guess since so much is done through the credit card, people may not even understand the full price they are paying for something. If you win an item, you pay that cost, plus you pay for the bidding costs, which you have to pay, even if you lose, then you pay a transacting fee and a shipping fee.

Yeah, it's always a very good thing to do some research. I like Amazon and EBay. They are reliable, cover transactions and you can return items with ease.

Research is always a good thing, even on Ebay, I'm amazed at how many people bidding on an item are willing to pay more than the "buy now" price and most of the time bidding doesn't include shipping so you need to factor that in. Okay, I'll admit I got taken in a couple of times! :D

Yeah, you do have to be careful!

I love using Amazon. I've been a prime member for a long time. I have stuff shipped almost everyday. I rarely buy anything at the stores anymore because I can get it on Amazon SO much cheaper and have free shipping.

I used it a lot over Christmas, I hate fighting the crowds, but I'm still concerned that if we don't shop locally, our local stores will close, and that has been happening in AZ. I love actually being able to see in person or touch an object I buy, although for some items this isn't as important.

Ahh, I know what you mean. For that, I go to the Open Air Market on the weekends and by odds and ends. I bought a tank top last Saturday for 35 bucks! lol....lordy ;)

And I have my dog bakery that I go to and I sure do eat out a lot!

But for electronics, videos and stuff you'd grab at walmart and best buy...Amazon is my place :)

Totally agree, and I love open air markets, so fun! The only downside of getting stuff delivered is Joey go nuts and thinks everything is his!
