I hope he's doing ok. That is one surgery out of the way. He should just have the next one left? He'll be able to start his recovery then. I feel so bad for him having to go through all of that. He's really been through the wringer! Sending all of my good thoughts and prayers for a successful surgery and I hope he isn't in too much pain.

Okay some good news. 15 screws and two plates later they think they have it. But may have to do some skin graphing on the ankle part. Will more on that on Monday. Was in recovery for three long hours. He said it was major pain. So I did not see him from 9:30 till 5:30 tonight. When they brought him back to his room. Thanks all for the prayers

Oh! That does sound like major pain. I'm sure they'll try to keep him as comfortable as possible, but I would think you would have to be knocked out to not feel that through any pain medication.

Well it was a long night. But I think we have the pain under control as much as we can at this point. The bad news is there maybe skin graphing. I really thought we would be going home Monday. Now I am not sure it depends on so much. So kinda of a blah day with blah news.. I am trying to stay positive. And hoping we are done. So we could go home next week or be here another one to two. Thanks so much for the prayers.

I was afraid the night was going to be rough from what you said. It's so awful to have to experience that kind of pain. If you're in the hospital, they should do something to control the pain. In my book, you shouldn't have pain in the hospital.

I suppose it would be better to get it all over with now though than to have to come back and go through more. I don't know.

Yes my daughter was at the nurses station so much saying hey he needs something. My gosh his whole body was shaking from it. And he is. It a baby. Never ever complains much. And my other daughter was on the phone saying mom there is no reason while in the hospital he should be in this much pain. His leg down by the ankle is just shattered along with both bones running up the leg. And there are so many if this happens and then this. If not then this. So it really is a wait and see kind of thing. But it could be so much worse at least we will recover eventually
