Silka, my Grandma's Lab is very sick. :(

She is trying to figure out if she should be in the room with her, or not. I told her I would. I know if it were Jackson, I could never leave him. But that's a tough decision.

I am just so sad for my grandma this year, right before the holidays. I usually get Silka presents every year, so does my grandma. It's going to be so empty over there without her.

So say a small prayer today that my grandma gets through this and Silka makes it up to doggie heaven okay today. She sure has been a fantastic dog.

So sorry, and we know how your Grandma and you feeli. The only bad part about dogs is they do not live long enough. We are still constantly thinking about Carlo. It has been 48 hours and seem as if it was 5 minutes ago. We were with Carlo to the end.

She, though still terribly sad, is probably getting a puppy this weekend!! Her and her husband are set on a Boxer- though I expressed that they can be hyper pups and need lots of exercise, but they seem willing. She wants to get the new pup signed up for training right away and already has an exercise schedule set up. She has been asking me about food and vaccinations, etc, and sound SO happy.

I think it will help heal, and never replace Silka, but give her some joy and happiness. She couldn't have imagined having the holidays without a baby (aka a dog). So I am excited for her and I hopefully will be able to help her a lot, I have some experience with Boxers as I have dogsat for 2 for the past 4 years!
