YT 2000 Club Donating Member | ![]() I love the Christmas season. It is my favourite time of year. When I was a very young girl, my parents would put up the Xmas tree on Christmas eve night after we went to bed. when we came down Xmas morning; Oh My! the lights the gifts it was a wonderful sight to behold. I'm hoping my husband will put some lights out this year. But if not I decorate a lot inside. Recently we switched from an artifical tree to a real tree, and we try to have the tree up about 10 days before Xmas and it stays up until about one wk after January. I usually start Xmas baking this wk, and put the cakes n cookies in the freezer for entertaining for the Xmas season. There is a famous house here in downtown Toronto, a small bungalow, that goes way way over the top. It is wonderful to see all the lights, and the Xmas reindeer and sleigh in their front yard. I will try to get a pic to post here. One of the traditions as we became adults we started is that I put on meditation classes during Dec to raise money for the Food Bank here in toronto. then my hubby and sis and I volunteer several hours during the Xmas season, Christmas eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day, to help out in a soup kitchen. I usually bring some of those home made goodies with me.
