As far as Paterno -- it is that mindset of somehow belittling the CRIME that I can't stand. He may have been a great coach but he DID NOT fulfill his legal and moral responsibility! He should have gone to the police, especially when he saw the administration was doing nothing to prevent reoccurrance. He needs to have repercussions beyond retiring just a little earlier than usual with a cushy benefit package. Every single person who they prove had knowledge and did nothing to stop this should have some penalty. That will, of course, never happen but I have faith their final punishment will make up for any lack of fairness here on earth. I've heard lots of stories about athletes and coaches being let off the hook for petty crimes, but I never imagined a school would let something of this magnitude go on for so long without getting the guy fired and incarcerated!

| ![]() Has anyone heard? The asst coach who saw the rape is now saying he stopped the rape and called 911/spoke w police - email to friend released. Police say it is not true - they have no record of such call or of talking w him about this situation. Police say the first time he talked w them was a year ago, in a parking lot, and he said his conscience has been bothering him so he needs to tell the truth about what happened in the locker room that night. Judge who gave Sandusky $100,000 bail removed herself - she was a volunteer for Second Mile, donated $, and Second Mile donated $100,000 to her campaign for Judge. She failed to disclose any of this when being assigned the case. Gov. Corbett is saying back in 2009 when he was atty general he knew there was an ongoing case against Sandusky and his actions while involved w Second Mile, yet the State of PA released a 3 million dollar grant to the Second Mile charity. They are now freezing the grant. This cr&p is unbelievable! This stuff was reported on Today show this am and our local CBS news.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | ![]() I read yesterday Joe Paterno earlier this summer had "sold" his share of their family home to his wife for $1. Speculation is, it's an attempt to protect assets from future civil litigation awards. Is this the "Success with Honor" JoePa instilled in his players? Maybe it's something he reserved only for football and didn't apply to his personal life. McCreary (the asst.) has changed his story, if the grand jury summary is complete and correct. He now says- he stopped the assault and reported it to police. It was never mentioned in the report that he stopped the rape, or reported it to the police. That's an important detail to leave out of your testimony. One that I don't believe the average person would just forget, only to be remembered later when it's obvious public sentiment is against you.

| ![]() How much does that fact that they were winning football games, therefore generating revenue for the school, have to do with everyone involved not wanting to "rock the boat". Sickening ![]()
