I love the name Priscilla. It is my grandmothers name. Her brothers gave her the name when she was little and has no idea why. You know what, I've always hated my name bc no one ever had the same name, or else people would tell me their dog was named Priscilla. This happened more than once.

Ever since I learned how to write my name in kindergarten (they put our names under tracing paper and we were to trace over it) I didn't like the way it looked. I've always wanted to change it, but couldn't think of anything better. then I went to HS and there were 3 other girls named Priscilla, and one time two others were in my PE class and another in my Trig class.

And then of course when I say I hate my name, people say it suits me.

ETA and I'm def not prissy! LOL

My name is a family name Lois Diane, so my family called me DI-DI. Then when I got older some friends started calling me LO-LO. When my son picked out our doxie, my friend tried to talk him into naming her LO-LO also. I said no. That is how she got the name Lola.

Aw poo I guess I don't have a nickname, people call me Dee or Dee dee. My best friend of 20 years calls me dirty, not sure how I got that name. I think we were always dirty from playing in the mud or something. Lol

I absolutely hate my nickname. Snookie, ugh! Where that came from I have no idea. I have an aunt that calls me tookie and my husband of 20yrs. has gone from sweetie to granny. I guess after all the surgeries and stuff I've been through he thinks I'm like an ole' granny. That makes me feel old. lol!!! I should have come up with a real good one for him.

My story is long, buuuuuuttttt:
When we were fairly newly married I saw an newspaper article about Jinger Heath (the founder of some beauty line; BeautiControl, maybe?). Never one to let a snide and condescending remark pass, I said, "Jinger! (pronouncing it like Ringer or Zinger) Who would ever name someone Jinger?!" I, of course, didn't recognize it as an obvious alternate spelling for Ginger, and while looking down my nose so much at this Jinger person, ended up looking like a foo!

So hubby instantly adopted it as my nickname and has always called me Jinger...said like Ringer, of course.

My son calls me Henni, his spanish interpretation of Jenny. Melts my heart!

My dad calls me Jenner (which is an improvement from my early childhood nickname of his: Wart

).

Most people call me Jen. And it's easier than Jennifer.

When he is in a romantic mood, dh calls me brown eyes.
The other nickname he has for me (which my mom hates and causes some stares in stores) is Woman. My mom thinks it sounds like a put down. I say it depends on the tone of voice he says it. If he is mad and says it, watch out, sparks fly. In a normal tone, no problem. He has been calling me since we got married at 18 almost 30 yrs ago.

In what seems another persons life now, I was an electronics technician & worked with a LOT of women who for whatever reason couldn't, wouldn't or didn't stand up for themselves (usually I DID). I would get so wound up over some of the things that happened to them I'd still be fuming mad when I'd get home. One day, I came home about to blew my 10th fuse, explained what'd happened that day to DH & he said "Well, you're just my little NormaRae aren't you?" It sorta stuck

I've used it as my handle on the c.b. radio when we were team driving the semi truck & use it for my email. Luckily, I've calmed down a lot in the last 15 years.

My best friend for life calls me Sherry Belle...I dunno where that came from.

My DH calls me baby; he's the ONLY one that's allowed to!
