| Urinary tract infections can cause cats to do that. Although I have had a cat that just would pee in other places besides his box and had to get rid of him. Good luck

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Nothing worse in the world than cat pee. YUCK! We had a male neutered cat that started messing in different rooms and in my closet. But then I started noticing a pink tinge in the urine. He had crystals in his urine...had a UTI. Antibiotics and $120 vet bill, and a week later he was fine. Get your cat checked by the vet. You need to check out the ash content in cat food. It is bad for them and the higher the ash content the more of a chance of UTIs.

| My cat use to spray on my roomates things all the time she was mean to him and apparentaly he didn't like that. At the time he wasn't fixed so I went and had that done and it helped some. But now I live in a different place with my boyfriend and occasionally he will pee in random places, the dogs bed, clothes in a pile, one time I had an empty box on the floor but I always notice it's when his litter box needs to be cleaned. Cats like things to be clean and I have learned to always make sure his litter box is and I haven't had a problem in a long time. |

| also if you have a PETsMART near you they make a cat repellant that you can use on your couch. but you must spray it daily. It's called Boundry and if your cat gets into potted plants they make sticky paws for that. Also if you really must give up your cat call a no kill rescue they will usually take them in if they've got enough fosters. PETsMART has a whole list of non profit no kill shelters that you can call. just ask at the registers for the numbers. best of luck sweetie. |
