My best friend had Lupus since she was 7(God rest her soul), I know what she went through, so my thought's are with you...Have a Happy Thanksgiving...

I'll be alone tomorrow, too, but I'm THANKFUL that I don't have to go to my MIL's and pretend to like her horrible cooking!!

(Bless her heart she's a wonderful person, and I love her dearly, but she just can't cook!)

Hubby wanted to stay with me, but his father has stage 4 lung cancer, so he might not be around for many more holidays, so I insisted that he go see his family.

I'm with Cindy. Indulge, indulge, indulge. And I'll be on YT. You and I can make up silly rumors about all the people that aren't here!

I know you don't feel well, but please don't be sad. Want some of my drugs?

JK I've been offering them to everybody!

I felt a bit sorry for myself when I posted this. I am so blessed in my life to have a wonderful family and two adorable, loving yorkies. Waistfull - Sorry about your lupus.

I know this isn't the case with your or me --but I had to laugh at a talk show on the radio this morning. The narrator was going on and on about how Thanksgiving and Christmas are holidays when family members who really don't like each other have to get together for a meal. Then he went on to describe all the people in his family who drive him crazy.....Then he started getting calls from people whose relatives drove them nuts. It was all meant to be funny --and it was.

You know you're not alone when you have two little dogs with you - I hope you are all going to spoil yourselves with your most favorite foods tomorrow.
And - please make sure some Thanksgiving dinner leftovers get back to you.

Get on line tomorrow - I'll certainly try to find time to visit with you. At least, you won't be exhausted tomorrow night like everyone else is going to be.

Save your energy for Christmas and I certainly hope you are feeling better by then.

Cindy has the right idea, waistful. Don't do any work. And watch the Dog Show after the Parade. Sue has to work and I think Steve does, too. At least part of the day. Hopefully, they will get home about the time the Turkey is done!! At least, that's the plan. In the meantime, I will be checking in on YT and watching lots of TV.

It is just my husband and I home alone tomorrow for Thanksgiving. My daughter is going to spend it with her fiance's family and my son, whom just turned 21, is getting ready to leave now to spend it over at his friend's house. We normally have everyone over or drive down to Florida to spend it at my husband's sister's family home. But since he had all his heart attacks back in August and Sept. we are just going to be home buddies. Which is fine with me. I remember all those days and hours cooped up in the car driving back and forth to Florida and hoping everyone got along or thought well of you and your family. And the years of the kids fighting - so this one will be nice and quiet. Don't worry they plan to be home for Christmas - they want gifts. LOL!!

So, plan to treat yourself - pamper yourself. Order in, rent a really good video you have been dying to see. And give yourself a manicure/pedicure and a good warm bubble bath. Sounds so good - I might do the same.

LOL. I'll be at the top of Mount Alyeska drinking fine wine, eating roast pheasant and hobnobbing with the Alpine ski crowd. But I'll secretly be thinking about the good conversation I'm missing here. Well, the good TEASING I'm missing here.

I know exactly how you feel. My dad had lupus and although he is no longer with us due to other complications, I have learned so much about the disease since 2002. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope you get to feeling better real soon. My mom set up a fund in my dad's name in Winston Salem to donate to the research of Lupus. If you ever want to talk, pm me and I'll give you my cell number that is free to talk on nites and weekends...According to my dad's doctor's we were told that this is a disease that really affects men alot worse than women. I guess that can be a good or a bad thing depending on who you are. Most women can live a long healthy life and have this disease if the doctors are correct. I will be keeping you in my prayers and you hang in there!

My daughter is going to spend it with her fiance's family and my son, whom just turned 21, is getting ready to leave now to spend it over at his friend's house.
