| The feather trend is so tired over here. It was popular about 5 years ago. When it came back in (recently I mean) it didn't come back here, too soon I guess. Not even in Orange County, where most people are like lemmings when it comes to fashion, did it get a resurgence. I've only seen it on a handful of preteen girls.

| Yeah I didn't go buckwild, I just had the one... but man did I feel ever goofy. I'm 21 and the other girls where as you said... pre-teen to teens lol. Silly me, I usually am fashion savvy but I guess I missed that boat this time! |

| I am so behind on even knowing about these trends. I need to get out more often AND pay attention to my surroundings more often...I'm 23 so this is like even more embarrassing.

I think a lot of fashion starts either on the East or West coast, and when it reaches middle American, others may be tired of it, but it's still the very fashionable in some parts. The South seems to get fashion last, and keep it until it's funny.

| uugghhh fashion, sometimes I'm a slave to it! I have not gotten the feathers though. I built up a collection of Coach bags only to see EVERYONE carrying them, most of them knockoffs and decided I'm done with them. We have a lot of flea markets here and they sell knockoffs everything. I want some GOOD jeans.... that is my next fashion goal... BF is not amused at me spending $200 on a pair of jeans... I really just want one pair to see what about them is soooo awesome to spend $200 on!! I love the INC jeans at Macys and find them very expensive at $80 a pair.

| How do you wash your hair without destroying the feathers?

| Unfortunately, the birds where those feathers come from are treated horribly too. I hate that it's become popular again. There are a few cruelty-free feathers from when the bird would naturally moult, but they have to be sought out. The other option is faux feathers.Rory (my yorkie) has a rat tail growing off her her actual tail! Her tail was docked way too close, and her coat is very slow growing. She has this little tuft of hair under her tail that finally grew and I refuse to cut it or have it trimmed even. I'm so attached to it! ![]() Toms have been very popular for a few years now where I've lived (Atlanta and Philly area). I've also got a Longchamp tote - I used it for my work bag and still really like it, but I also don't mind spending more money for designer purses and shoes. I've never really cared what other people spend on things as long as they aren't asking me to pay for it! I really never got the appeal of the DB bags and most of the monogram Coach stuff, but to each his own. I guess that is kind of the point of expressing yourself through your clothes and accessories.
