this is the 1st time i am seeing him. i thought the winner was the other ugly dog that he is a mix breed of. he was scray looking. RIP.

Sounds like he had quite the personality too...wow, he had some life. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Oh poor Sam...I too though he would be so ugly he'd be cute - but when I first saw him back when he was in the news - my thoughts were - YIKES !!!!

every dog needs love and it sounded like he had the best mom once he was rescued - how sad.

I looked for more than the two pictures that showed his mouth open. The poor little guy was no where near as offensive when his mouth is shut (I told my going-on-13-year old mouthy stepdaughter we could all learn a lot from that LOL). Anyway, I even saw a picture of Sam snuggled up in bed with her, I saw a picture of him sleeping very naturally and comfortably on her lap. Sam was loved in his last six years and I am thankful for that. If you google "ugly dog sam" and go down a few before checking them out you will find more pictures of him that are even sweet. Nonetheless though, the poor little guy did earn his title.

Aww! I love C- crested dogs! He wasnt that cute...poor guy! It's sad that he died! Soundsl ike he lived the life though!
