| I wonder how much she really makes a year. They make like +$60,000-65,000 per season. I remember reading some place Amber makes $280,000/yr. (140,000 every 6 months) Per court documents. So how poor is she really? Maybe MTV does the smart thing and makes it so the money can only be used for the kids. Many people with real jobs don't get that kind of money.

That explains it. I was wondering how Macy, a single teen mother, attending college w no job, and no child support from her dead beat baby daddy could afford to live on her own in a half decent condo w garage - plus supporting her child.

| Only Maci seems like a decent mom to her child. The rest are all about themselves. Farrah and Ambers's kids hardly ever thank esp. Farrah's daughter. Maci's son is always talking. I woul love to know what Farrah, etc. Do with the money to benefit their kids.

| I have read they get a ton of money for the show plus more for interviews, etc. I wondered if MTV says the money has to go towards the kids but I'm not sure. Macy's the only one that seems to do "OK" with her money, Amber seems like she's just not smart enough to do something with it to help her out. In the episode where she runs out to get an apt. so she can get her baby back it is highly unlikely anyone would rent to someone unemployed & without a hefty deposit seeing how she's so young & that seemed to be a nice place. As for Farrah, braces I guess I could see, breast implants no freaking way. Clearly there is something her child either needs now or will need down the road. She's responsible for her for at least the next 16 years. ETA: I hope they keep it hush about the compensation, that will just have more girls lining up to get on the show. I don't know why Caitlyn & Tyler don't leave her obviously psycho & abusive mom if they have any money. As I've said before they're all very unrealistic to me. Money or not, their "hard times" do not touch on the reality of what a hard time is like for most teen parents.

| i think the show is kinda just a mess at this point. original idea was a good one to show the reality of life as a teen mother, but it's not showing it in a bad way as much as they need to in order to prevent this from happening. |
