| Pink eye again? I am so annoyed. Every year for the past three years, I have been getting pink eye at least once. I've lived in different places, it's nothing causing it where I live. Last year, nothing worked. Antibiotic eye drops didn't work. I went to opthalmologists for months and they couldn't figure out why my eyes were red. It took months and months but they finally cleared up on their own. Yesterday, my right eye was hurting. When I got home last night, it was really really red and watery. This morning, both eyes are bright pink. I just want to cry! I start a new job on Monday, I can't look like this, and I can't be taking time off already! Every time I get it, no matter how long I let it go without treatment, my boyfriend NEVER caught it (we have lived together the whole time). Nobody I've been around has caught it. It makes me pretty sure it's not bacterial. I think bacterial pink-eye spreads quickly. The first time I had it I didn't even go to a doctor for weeks, thinking my eyes were just dry and irritated from renovations in our condo at the time. He wiped away those tears with his fingers, and he never caught it. I am so frustrated!!!!

| First good luck on your new job! I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I wish I had some advice for you but I don't. Are they sure it is pink eye? Allergies make my eyes red and watery. And they are itchy also. Maybe you should talk to another doctor for a second opinion? I am so sorry I can't give you any thing better. Hope you get relief soon.

| Thank you! I actually think maybe it is just allergies. I have used just regular eye drops and it does give some relief. My eyes aren't itchy, which I think they would be if it were pink eye again. They are also not goopy or crusty. They are just sore and pink. One is worse than the other. Maybe this was just a false alarm!

Have you tried any allergy meds to see if they help? Like claritin or Zyrtec?

| Are you sure you're not using some product that you're allergic to? I only ask cause a couple of months ago i started having the same symptoms with my eyes. It would go away and then come back. Then i finally figured it that i was using a scented(perfumed) hand scrub. Apparently i was allergic to the perfume that was in it. This is the product i used to help with the eye irritation..it really worked well!! Opcon-A Eye Allergy Relief 2 x 15ml, .5 fl oz Hope you find out whats causing it soon! Feel better!

| Thanks, I wonder if I can find those drops in Canada? I will keep an eye out for them. I haven't started using anything new, so I don't think it would be something like that. I wonder if there's something environmental going on. But it doesn't make sense that it happens at different times of the year! Yesterday I used allergy medication (Reactine 24 hour relief) but I did use the eye drops as well about 4 times yesterday. Today I just used them once tihs morning and they haven't felt as bad as yesterday. I also didn't use the allergy medication today. I hope they feel totally better by tomorrow! I will take my contact case and solution and my glasses just in case!

| I started having eye issues a few years ago and went to the eye dr. who told me it was "eye allergies". I used prescription eye drops for about a year and then he told me that two OTC drops (with the exact same ingredients) were now on the shelves. Zaditor and Alaway. Ketotifen is the ingredient that you want to look for. It has made a world of difference for me! Here's a link to a coupon for Alaway.... Alaway Antihistamine Eye Drops Hope it's just allergies!

My left eye has been terrible since last night. It was pink all over. I opened the bedroom window last night for fresh air but it didn't make a difference. I used my normal allergy eye drops this morning before work, and again at work. Some of the pink tinge went away but it stayed pretty veiny. They aren't bothering me otherwise though. It LOOKS bad but it's not very painful (sore every once in awhile, but not all the time). They're not itchy, not watering, not discharging anything at all.

| uuuggghhh Linz, a woman I work with had eye problems on weds, she went to the doc yesterday and came back to work. She has pink eye. I told her it was VERY contagious and she shrugged it off.... now I think I have it!!! Unreal! I wish people would STAY HOME when they have something contagious!!!!!

| I hope you are feeling better today, Lindsey If it's viral maybe they aren't using the right medication to treat the root of the problem. Just a thought.
