Tornadoes in Dallas/Ft. Worth!

Still up and watching the sky. So far we got by with hard rain, alot of wind and quarter size hail. Talked to my gd earlier just as the sirens went off. She said Oklahoma was a mess. Her ML has a friend that said they could come and go down in the storm cellar with them but could not bring the dogs. Her ML said she was not going to leave them. Her friend called back shortly after that and told her to bring the dogs but by then the tornado had it. Thank God they got out without anyone, even the dogs, being hurt. I was so worried about them.

Today has not been a good day for worrying and storms. All afternoon I was freaked out about my Oklahoma relatives, they all live right along the corridor that was getting slammed the hardest. I also have relatives in Garland, a suburb of Dallas. Please everyone be safe, don't take it lightly, these storms are coming hard.

I was watching the weather channel tonight and they were explaining that because of the water in the pacific being so cool, it was leading these storms to be as violent as they have been. They said once the waters warm up in the next few weeks the storms should not be anywhere near as violent. I thought that was interesting...never knew cooler water temps could cause such an outbreak of horrible weather like this.

Did everyone make it through last night without a lot of destruction? These storms need to just settle down. I hate this kind of weather. When I was just a little girl (just yesterday......), there was one so bad that each hole in our screens had trash/twigs sticking through them. I'll never forget it. Of course, the three kids had fun in the hallway under a table.

Once I went to sleep then it wasn't so bad. LOL Going to go over to my daughter's Doggy Day Care today since it was in the line of the worst of it. When I went to bed her and my dad where on their way over to check it out.

Checking in to see if everyone is ok this morning. I am almost afraid to turn on the news This has been such a nightmare spring for the majority of our country.

Yep all fine here this morning. My poor Willow is still shaking this morning and her eye's still look like a deer caught in head light's. She has problems with storms. My Allie was running all over the back yard this morning looking at all the leaves and branches that fell in the yard and of course she had smell the entire yard. My Lizzie could care less, she can hardly hear any more and just napped the whole time except when we kept going in the closet. Doesn't look like the Big hail caused any problems. Several people who had their car's parked out side they have big dents in them. Thank heavens I keep mine the garage.

We are safe here. It was a rough night. We had a funnel cloud with a tail right by my house. Thankfully, it never fully developed. We lost electric but it is back on now. Second night without sleep. The storms are driving me crazy.

Hope everyone made it thru with no problems. We have many friends in the Dallas and suburband area, and family in Keller and other burbs outside of Dallas.

We are all fine here. I sat in the floor with all 6 of the dogs,playing or petting. My kids just complained about constant weather updates. It did rain very hard for a while with high winds ,but that was it.

I'm so glad those who posted are safe today. I haven't listened to the news this morning so I'm not sure how devastating the weather really got in Dallas and other areas. This bad weather has GOT to STOP!
