They said her attorneys are enjoying a champagne toast right now, how shameful! Seriously, Caylee is dead! What could be more distasteful! I'm just so shocked. I thought they might not come back with first degree, but NOTHING! How do you find her guilty of lying, but not anything else. What did she lie about if you find her not guilty? Innocent people do not need to lie! I am so glad that her parents walked out, I hope to goodness they want nothing to do with her, but as Nancy Grace just stated, she will make a mint from this with interviews, movies, book deals, etc... Makes it me sick!! I would really love to hear from the jury. I want to know how they reached this verdict. I hope someone will explain this. |

This horrific verdict can be blamed on the media. Cnn and Nancy Grace made this monster a star from day one. And sadly...this jury has now cemented her stardom. And now...we all will have to watch as Casey and the jury will have an open check book for their stories over and over again. I knew from day one that they couldn't find a jury anywhere that would convict her. There's just more sensationalism and $ for an acquittal. Casey Anthony will now go on to make many interviews, book deals, and let's not forget the movie rights. God have mercy on what we as a society have become. RIP baby Caylee!! |

Since the OJ trial I had lost a lot of faith on our judicial system, now I just lost it all.. so sad...:mad::mad::mad: |
They talked about justice was served today and how our judicial system works. Well, where is the justice for little Caylee? God help us when it doesn't matter that a child is dead and justice is served???? Casey knows the truth and there will be a payday. Maybe not here on earth, but she will get hers. |
I wonder if Cindy is proud of herself now for lying about not being at work and doing those computer searches. |

Just shocked! A very sad day. Couldn't her defense team have the decency to "celebrate" in private and not in a public restaurant and allowing a media person in to report. I don't even think she will suffer a guilty conscience. Just go on about her partying. Terrible. |
I am just sick!!!! |
I guess Caylee just put duct tape on herself and committed suicide.:thumbdown |
I, too, definitely believe that this was not a good decision by the jury.... but I also believe that I cannot be the judge. Casey Anthony will stand before her maker someday & if she doesn't give her confessions to him and receive forgiveness for her wrongs.... her judgement day will be filled with fire. I feel so bad for the death and short life of Caylee it is so emotional & angering thinking about the way her life was cut off.... but I am praying for Casey, too.... I think it is the right thing to do. (I hope that this doesn't offend anyone.... or give anyone the idea that I like the outcome, but I really think it is something I need to do). |
It appears to me that circumstantial evidence is not enough which is very, very sad. I think that perhaps the fact they went for the death penalty, people were less apt to want to convict her. I really do think that the death penalty is inappropriate in cases where there is no absolute proof. In my way of viewing this, I believe there was more than enough evidence to convict her but that means nothing. What we all think means nothing. It is over....at least as far as the legal system is concerned. I wonder if that had not sought the death penalty if the jurors may have viewed it differently. I suppose we will never really know. :( It really is a very sad day ... that darling little girl was killed and no one is going to pay for it....well, not pay the way we feel they should. I believe whoever did it will never have peace. |

I'm so sad about this.....I thought there was no way she was NOT going to be convicted!! I did see that the judge gave the jury a 1" packet with the guidelines he set down for conviction. Unfortunately, I think that they were not able to convict her based on the guidelines. I think we all know she is guilty!! I just can't imagine how her life is going to be now with everyone knowing about this trial. At least with OJ he had money and could hide out and buy his friends.....with her I don't know what she can do. I know people are saying she will probably write a book and a movie but I don't even know how she could...she had so many stories and versions and none of them make since so I think it would be so hard to follow. I guess we will see what happens.... |
