| I just bought a bunny for my daughter!! Ok I'm nervous and I don't know why. I've raised 4 skin kids I have 4 "fur" babies, but I've never had a bunny. We were going for a hamster but she really can't "play" with a hamster. Then she was looking at the guinea pigs but I hear they bite. So I went for the bunny. My husband is on a business trip til Friday. I hope he doesn't freak!! I have some reading up to do about these little guys. She is adorable!! Her name is Daisy. My daughter is 16 so she is quite capable of caring for her. Anyone have a bunny??? Any tips about these guys. Right now in her cage I have her food mixed with a bit of oats. She has a little bowl with timothy hay in it. A water bottle hanging on her cage and a house thingy so she can go in it. I put a baby recieving blanket on the cage for comfort like a little darkness. and I left a little light on in the room. They told me not to handle her too much for a few days because she is stressed out.

| Our neighbors have a bunny that lives in their backyard. They may let him/her into the house, I don't know. The bunny is very tame and is so cute hopping around the back yard. I've heard they can be very very good pets!

| I don't have a bunny, but my son and DIL have one. He is litter trained like a cat and the cutest thing. I think you will love having a bunny for a pet. Here is a link to one of my grandbunny Jack's easter pics.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=1&theater

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had one many years ago when I was 16. His name was Thumper, original I know. He lived in our basement and I would let him out side during the day and bring him in at night in good weather. He was pretty tame but when he got mad he would thump his feet. They do get smelly so you have to clean them often. I know some people have litter trained theirs.

| Be careful with the York'sters! Jackson likes to hunt bunnies outside, not sure how he'd act with a pet one. I think bunnies are adorable tho and don't know much about them. Pictures?

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I agree. Rhett went nuts the other day when we were at an event that included a live bunny.

| My cousin and I both had bunnies as children and we loved owning them. They are really neat pets. Congrats to your daughter!

| I'd be careful about the blanket and check it thoroughly and often. rabbits are chewers and she will try to eat it. they'll do the same to plastic and wood so keep an eye on her cage if it's made of anything but metal. |

| We have two: Olive and Scarlett. They are sisters from the same litter. Like others have said, definitely watch your pup around the bunny. Levi constantly cries and begs and whines and chases the bunnies. They are in a covered ex-pen, and he runs, runs, RUNS around it crying. We try to keep them as separate as possible. Ours are litter-box trained, which was actually pretty simple. Basically, we just watched where they were going potty and put the litter box there. It does get knocked around when they are running around like crazy ladies. Bunnies are fragile and skittish. Ours took probably a year to calm down enough to be held for very long. They still don't like to be held, but they will usually allow you to pet them on the head. They are very curious and funny and cute. They chew on everything in the world, so if they aren't confined, be very careful about what is left out. I hope you guys enjoy your new bunny! ETA: The gray one is Olive and the black/white one is Scarlett. Sorry for the bad picture...I need to dig up some better ones.

| check pet supply stores for a safe chew item for them because they do need something to chew on to keep their teeth ground down. we had rabbits when I was growing up and if I remember right, each cage had a white donut looking thing that they chewed on, similar to a cuttle bone that you'd get for birds to chew on. check her nails often too. they grow really fast and tend to curl back into the pads even worse than our pupsters' do. |

| I actually have her in my babies crate that they don't use anymore. I think I will take the blanket off of the top. We have a spare room downstairs and the babies are gated off. They can't get down there. I will leave her in the crate unless we take her out to handle her. Otherwise she will stay in the crate. I will keep her and the babies seperated. Maybe in the summer when it gets warmer I will let her go outside in a playpen or something. I don't want to do anything to make my babies feel weird, ya know.
