I'm Megan (obviously, according to my username! :D ) I'm 17 years old, and I'm really into working out/sports. I was on a competitive year round swim team for 7 years, but now I only swim (competitively) during the winter months. I love running, I go running a couple times a week with my aunt, and sometimes I bring Mango along. :) My passion is art...I LOVE LOVE LOVE drawing and painting. I can be really shy in social situations, but once people get to know me, i'm not as introverted as i seem! I'm a very hard worker, in school, and out of school. and i want to go to college to be a fitness trainer and/or be a dietician for young children. I got my drivers license in December, which I am still veryyyyy excited about because I LOVE to drive. Love it. I prefer driving if I go anywhere with my parents, friends, ect. (don't worry, I'm a good, responsible driver! :D otherwise my parents wouldn't trust me with the car! :P) I love the Twilight series, the movies not as much, but the books. I met Taylor Lautner this past summer! :D |
I'm Theresa, some people call me "Reese" Let's just say I was born in the 60s, but not early enough to remember them! :D I was born in Cincinnati, OH, but I have also lived in Florida, Illinois & Texas! I have moved over 30 times in my life! Besides being passionate about my family and my Yorkies, I LOVE to travel! I enjoy history and experiencing different cultures! I also love to read, watch movies & tv. I am a cold weather person (I know I am the minority!) I just recently went back to college. I am studying Health Information Technology. I never dreamed I would be doing this now, but my company is closing shop in Cincinnati after being here for 45 years. ( I was there 11 1/2.) |

1 Attachment(s) Wow, this is interesting :D My nickname is Katt and I quit having birthdays at 29. I've been on the wagon on that one ever since, though I have been very tempted many times to have 'just one more birthday', I refuse to go back to that old habit ;) I have no human children and have two fur-kids who are the main reason of everything I do or don't do. I'll be the first one to admit that they are a couple of spoiled brats :p who have changed my hb's and my life completely. HB and I have been married FOREVER, it feels like, because we know each other so well. He works long hours and I'm a former Realtor who is reinventing herself at the moment :coffee_n_ I can lose my temper quickly when I see cruelty and injustice, especially toward the elderly, a child or an animal. I figure that only cowards pick on the defenseless and deserve no respect or consideration from me  I'm scared stiff about identity theft, after witnessing a friend and my niece fall victims to it. Hence, the reason I'm so careful about how much I disclose in any site, since pieces can be gathered from different places and used against you  Sad, scary internet world :( (maybe I'm just paranoid  but so far is working for me to call in an order instead of online ). Weird, I am? :lol tears |

The YT Forum I've been reading this thread tonight and am in love with you all!!! I've laughed and cried and held my breath reading this. I can't wait to read each post. What a lovely group of special people here! You all are just terrific!:love::love: |
Hello My Name is Pam. I am a Human Resources executive and to see what has become of the labor market in the US in the last two years has been personally devastating. June 22, 2009 my organization went under in a day. It has been traumatic to see so many people that I recruited, hired, know their stories have to rebuild their lives in the worst economy in our lifetime. Yorkie Talk has provided me an escape from that sad reality in the last two years. I have a supportive family. Armani my little gift from Heaven is my treasure. She came into my heart and into my home the day before my birthday in 2008. I had never even touched a dog before her, yet I always knew I wanted a Yorkie…I asked myself that day in 2008 if not now, when. Bringing her home was one of the best decisions I ever made. I already delight in day that I will be able to give her a little sister as I know she will flourish in that role. It is time for me to have a few more if not now, when moments. I live in NY but California, San Francisco specifically makes my heart smile. We will vacation there this year, I try to get there every year, and eventually I would love to live there. I think this thread is brilliant! Thanks for sharing and for allowing me to share. |
I agree....this thread is really awesome! It's so great to know more about all of you. What a great group of people! |
I have thoroughly enjoyed this thread, too. I haven't posted yet besides this post, but I will. Thank you all for giving us more insight into your lives. Getting to know the members and having a connection with them makes this forum much richer and more meaningful to me. I have truly enjoyed getting to know each of you. |

Hi! I'm Valerie. I live in NY. I have two beautiful skin sons, age 23 and 19 and of course my baby Sammy. I'm a second generation Italian American. My Dad was his parents' first American born child (one of 10). My parents are gone now. I'm very close to my aunt and her children who are like sisters and brother to me. Our kids are close too. I still see my very best friend who I've been friends with since 1966. I was a dental assistant but due to an injury to my hand I cannot work in that field anymore. My cousin is hoping to find me a position in her office as a physical therapy aide. I love the warm and hot weather. I love working in my garden, reading and YT! I'm a huge Frank Sinatra fan. I had a beagle named Benji for almost 15 years and it took me 7 years after Benji died before I got Sammy. I was so depressed when I broke my hand and found out that I would never have normal use of it again. Then I got Sammy and he helped me so much because I have this precious little pup to care for and love. I've enjoyed reading all of your posts and it's so nice to get to know everyone better! |
My name is Emily. I am 27. I am the oldest of 6. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. The youngest one who is only 7! Yes, we are 20 yrs apart and yes we have the same mom and dad:) I grew up in a small farming town in Idaho. I loved growing up there and I miss the quiet country nights. After I graduated high school I went to cosmetology school. I have done hair for almost 8 yrs.. I have lived in alot of places... I lived in Southern Oregon with my best friend who's parents had 2 yorkies:).. then moved to Loveland Colorado. I then was accepted/ auditioned for a position in the Pure Talent Program at the Aveda Academy Denver. Was an amazing experience. I then moved to Bellevue WA where I nannied for a family and their 2 children, (who also had a yorkie:) I was able to travel a little and went to the Bahamas for a month and Maui for a month:) After WA I moved to SLC, UT. I have lived here for 2 years. Currently I nanny for a family and Taycie comes to work with me, and I cut hair at a salon on Saturdays. I love horses and while in WA I was able to take dressage lessons. My sister has competed in National Equestrian Shows in New York. I unfortunetly fell off a horse during the fair and dislocated my hip and had to have surgery.. Because I had NO medical insurance I haven't had the courage to get back on.. I think I will when I pay it off:) I love food.. anything and everything. I am not picky whatsoever. I like to dress up occasionally but I am a hoodie and jeans kind of girl. I love to decorate. My FAVORITE Holiday is Christmas! My tree is usually up in the middle of October and it takes me a good week to decorate everything. I listen to christmas music all year. I hate hot weather, and prefer the cold. I hope to have a family of my own someday, Taycie needs a brother or a sister:) Taycie was my birthday present to myself last year. I finally got a yorkie of my own:)!! I love the discovery channel and love to read. I hope to be able to go back to school someday.. I love to watch movies and relax:) |

Love to read Love to dance 1 Attachment(s) My favourite Tshirt when I worked as a waitress said: " Be patient God isn't finished with me yet". I thought it was a good motto then, and at 57 years old:eek: I think it is a good motto now. That part time job helped in my night schooling for CGA. I'm a lot of formers; dancer, gymnast, accountant, executive, divorcee, RMT. I've loved the outdoors, and have done many sports over my lifetime. I met my husband of seven years (last Valentines' Day), over the internet. We share a love of animals, reading, board games, hiking, the outdoors, and lively conversation. We enjoy quiet times, and entertaining small groups of like minded friends. Currently I am self employed as a yoga teacher. I love to cook, to train my dogs, to show, and to learn new and varied things. My husband is an executive happily employed at a non profit organization. Over the years I have travelled a fair amount, and England is one of my favourite places to visit, along with Crete. I have volunteered in different organizations over my lifetime, but much of my volunteer activities centered around the "differently abled". My sister who is brain damaged lives with us, and she along with my husband and dogs/cat, are where my life revolves around. As far as mushrooms go, I love em, all their varieties and ways of cooking them. Oh my Lord, truffles. I love food, and love to eat. That just might be why as I have aged lots of things have gone South and East and West.:p I would love to learn photography and one day hope to be half as good as my husband. I looked on my computer which contains 6000 pics for ones of hubby and I, and found exactly two out of focus shots. Note to self: take more pics of us together. Another note to self: figure out a good filing system;) Hopefully this summer all our family will travel to PEI, a beautiful island province in Canada. Nice to meet you all:) |
