| Off topic- But Going to Semi State in Football In Indiana Totally off topic. But I have to brag about my 16 y/o son. Nick made varsity football as I had mentioned earlier in another post. His team is a 5A which is a large school here in the state of Indiana. Team" Hamilton Southeastern Royals" have not been in the top 25 all season in rankings. Friday night they played the numer 1 team is the state who was undefeated for the regional title. We won. This Friday night we go to Merrillville to play for the semi state title in our region. If we win the following Sat the boys go to the dome to play for the Class 5A State title. I am so proud of Nick my 6'2 baby who weighs 260 pounds. His coach calls him Cookie Monster and Rolling Thunder. He plays offense and defense. The jerk wanted me to put him up on the website on the stud page. He thinks the chicks would dig it. What to do with that teenage male ego and hormones. I am too old for him- but love him anyway. |

| Hey Kathy: I just saw this post. Don't know how I missed it before. I photograph sports for the newspaper and I know how much this means to the parents and players. All of our teams lost out in the first round of playoffs this year for football. Since the Superdome was so heavily damaged by the hurricane and the evacuees, our state championships will be played on a college campus instead. Wishing your son's team the best of luck this week! Let me know how they do. Lisa

| We won -We WON We won our game last night 17-7. We went up against a great team that has three players going to top top midwest colleges with full ride football scholarships. We are going to the RCA dome where the Indianapolis Colts play and fight it out for the state football title. This said a lot for the determination and focus that Nick and his entire team displayed. Nick's team was unranked the whole year and in the past few weeks have played against four top ten ranked teams to get here. It is a shame that someone has to loose. Dixie has been a brat since he became a Champion thinks he is special- I am scared to think of what my 260 baby is going to want. Dixie sleeps in bed at this time as his reward. No mattter what the outcome next week Nick will get a football ring- Do you have any Idea what a ring that size will cost. About broke the bank to get his classring. Kid has hands the size of an elaphants feet. Well got to go- Once a gain thank you to all of you who posted on here, and emailed me about me boy. Got to go and make breakfast for the cookie monster and the coach calls him. |

| Congratulations to you and Nick! I wish I could be there on the sidelines to capture the memories of the state title game for you. If you have any connections to the local paper, you might let the photographer know you'd be interested in an action shot of Nick. He/she may be able to oblige your wish. Congratulations again! Lisa
