| ![]() I do the same thing. I used to give up all sweets but that was just too hard for me. When my kids were small they used to tell me they were giving up orange soda for Lent. I told them that they didn't even drink orange soda-Lent is supposed to be giving up something that would be a sacrifice! Hang in there. Just think, Easter morning we can have a nice big piece of chocolate with our coffee!!! |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() I feel your pain. Giving up chocolate would be a sacrifice. But that's the whole point, isn't it? Just think how you will feel at the end when you were strong enough to keep your commitment! |

| ![]() I have given up chocolate many times for Lent, but not this year. Anyway, understand how you are feeling. I will never forget how during Lent one year I kept craving red velvet cake and would buy it at Krogers. Of course, I did not know at the time that the cake was chocolate with so much red coloring that you could not tell. Ahhh. ![]()

| ![]() I gave up chocolate and pizza!!! We usually order pizza on Friday nites, so I'm going through major withdrawals. I found a Reese's peanut butter 2 pack in fridge that I had bought before Lent....wanted it so bad. Made my son take it out of the house and eat it. If he had eaten it in front of me I think I would have killed him and then eaten the chocolate. ![]() ![]()
