| Don't they give you blood or something, if you are bad enough? I'm sorry to hear that. Hope you feel much better soon. Have you been feeling very tired?

| My daughter has been sick off and on for a few months now and was sick (AGAIN) last week. We took her to the doctor and was told that she now has gastroenteritis and they checked her blood due to her being so exhausted and VERY, VERY pale....we were also told that she is anemic. She is now on a vitamin with iron and we are trying to get her to eat more green veggies (which is tough because she doesn't like them). I hope you are feeling better soon....take care of yourself! The only things I know to suggest are what I wrote above. Hugs!! |

| I'm not anemic, but it runs in my family. Usually it's pills. If it's too low for that, then IV iron therapy. If it's too low for that then a transfusion. There should be a cause though..

| She is 7 and the only thing they did last week was prick her finger to do a blood test for it. He felt that it was because she is fighting a tummy bug, but we have to do a follow-up visit once she is feeling better. My husband and I are worried, though. I hope you are able to get answers soon and are feeling better quickly! |

| Also, I am not sure that my daughter would be considered "off the charts" bad with her number (still very worrisome, though). The doctor said that her range should be between 11-14 and hers was 10.6. |

| I have tried to donate blood 4 times in my life and was only able to do this once because of anemia. I feel tired and fatigue a lot. so I hope you are able to get your sunder control. I take an iron supplement and this helps some. Good luck. |

| I am anemic and have blood transfusions 2 times over the past 8 years. The first time was about 8 years ago and they gave me 3 units. The last time was before I had a hysterectomy almost 3 years ago. They kept me for 2 days and I was given 5 units of blood before my level was high enough to be allowed to go home. It was after that I went to the gynecologist and told that I needed a hysterectomy. I had an elevated CA 125 and was them Dxed with ovarian cancer after they hysterectomy. At the time I was only 42 which threw up all kinds of red flags and they have monitored me very closely ever since. Has you gynecologist given you the CA125 blood test? It has false positive results but is still a good tool to look at what is going one. Being anemia is not fun. I'm very sorry.
