I find it amusing that people hate him for lying...they all lie. That is the only way to win...at some point each of them tells a lie. He is just so good at it with his in your face attitude that people hate him. At this point, his game would have to change and so far he has not figured that out. Too bad...I really thought he knew that...I guess not.

I really thought with him coming back this season, after going to the finals 2 times and not even getting one vote...he would have change this game, mixed it up...get people questioning them selfs as to what kind of player/person he really is...good guy or a villian...he didn't, all they see is VILLAN lol

It's not the lying as much as the severe backstabbing; he is loyal to no one. He also has no respect for other people. He doesn't respect the "dumb" loyal girls who take his word for everything, and help his get to the top, and he doesn't respect other contestant's game play. It's a social game as much as a physical and mental game, and his extreme ego gets in the way of playing his social game well. He could have "pretended" to like the guys, but he didn't even want to bother with that this year, and he does have the skills to make people think he likes them. Being sent to Redemption Island might work in his advantage, he's really good at challenges, and if he can stay till the end, many contestants on the jury, won't feel like he's backstabbed them, so he has a better chance at winning overall.

Everyone already hates him! There will be no more Redemption island after they merge and even if he gets to the finals...you can bet your butt everyone on that jury will hate him and not vote for him....Russell will always be a backstabbing SOB villian LOL he can't change.

I loved Russell the first time he was on Survivor and really thought he should have won. This time around I am happy to see him gone. Everyone knows his game, so he had no chance. I do think it was a mistake to send him off this early, really weakened the team. However it was a better for the morale and sanity of the tribe.

Who do you suggest I pick to keep safe in my survivor pool? I have already picked Angela and Ashley, so I can't pick them again. Remember, once I pick someone, I can't pick them again.

It's interesting, but many people admire villlians, and this may not work against him, unless he personally hurts them. I would be the sort of person, that would have to admire anyone I gave my vote to; I don't admire backstabbers.

As you said in your above post, Survivor is a social game. I think its more social than physical and mental...A player has to lie and backstab at some point in the game no way around it, thats what gets you to the finals but its how you go about doing it...You have to know how to work people without them and everyone else knowing your lying and backstabbing. Russell is not a people person at all...unless he really changes his game, stop being that "in your face backstabber and I don't care if you see it or not player", he will never win sole survivor.

Me too...I really want Rob to win this one...just cause he is a oldie they keep bring back and he really has change his game alot since his first game...unlike Russell LOL...Rob just might be our Sole Survivor this time. but to soon to tell.

You make a good point, and I do think it's also important to respect you competition, and this is what Russell lacks the most.

They are all backstabbers. Trust me when it comes between loyalty and a million dollars none of them will be loyal.
I don't buy that social aspect, but hey, that is me. It is just like the PP, they are acting sweet as can be, but bottom line, push come to shove, they will turn on a dime to win.

What is the difference between Rob and Russell? Rob smiles and acts sweet. With Russell, you really do know what to expect. I would rather play that game with Russell than most of those people. I can deal with a person like that...totally a b**ch ... makes no bones about it. He wants to win.
