I find it amusing that people hate him for lying...they all lie. That is the only way to win...at some point each of them tells a lie. He is just so good at it with his in your face attitude that people hate him. At this point, his game would have to change and so far he has not figured that out. Too bad...I really thought he knew that...I guess not.
It's not the lying as much as the severe backstabbing; he is loyal to no one. He also has no respect for other people. He doesn't respect the "dumb" loyal girls who take his word for everything, and help his get to the top, and he doesn't respect other contestant's game play. It's a social game as much as a physical and mental game, and his extreme ego gets in the way of playing his social game well. He could have "pretended" to like the guys, but he didn't even want to bother with that this year, and he does have the skills to make people think he likes them. Being sent to Redemption Island might work in his advantage, he's really good at challenges, and if he can stay till the end, many contestants on the jury, won't feel like he's backstabbed them, so he has a better chance at winning overall.
