| Poplar Hill School had 231 votes but I see that Longwood, Natchez had 235 votes. so close...now I really feel bad for just seeing this thread. |

| OK everyone this messge from cousin TOni: To our family and friends: We want to thank everyone for their efforts on behalf of Poplar Hill School. With your efforts we garnered 231 votes. This placed us in 2nd place in the Natchez District. There are several more districts throughout the state of Mississippi with a total of a little over 300 entries. The districts are as follows: Natchez District, Jackson Metro, Gulf Coast, Columbus Area/Prairie District, Carrollton/Lexington/Yazoo City area, Piney Woods/South of Jackson, Hills/Northeast, Over Meridian Way, Vicksburg, and last the Delta. Every district will contribute sites once all the voting is complete the list of “101 Mississippi Places to See Before You Die” will be published. Publication of the list as I understand will be on the internet only so we will keep you informed. Again, thank you one and all for your time, commitment, and efforts for Poplar Hill School.
