I remember reading where Billy Graham said, Heaven would not be heaven without his schnauzer. I know alot of people do not believe dogs have souls. Read Ecc.3:19 and Prov.12:10. What do you believe? I know God loves them, after all He created them.

This is what Billy Graham has to say about animals...

God has a special reason and place for each of His created beings. Animals, too, have a purpose in God’s creation. Man, as the highest order of creation, has been given dominion over the animal kingdom (Genesis 1:26-28).

We believe that animals were intended for man's enjoyment and use. The Bible itself does not indicate that there is life after death for animals. It may be that God's purpose for animals is fulfilled on this earth. However, if animals would make us happier in heaven, surely there will be a place for them there.

Some Bible interpreters have called attention to Isaiah's description of the peace of God's future kingdom where he says that "the wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox" (Isaiah 65:25). Heaven will lack nothing that is good and that will bring glory to God.

This is what I believe too -- since we will want for nothing in heaven, I have to believe my pets will be there too. I lost my husband 2 1/2 yrs ago. Not long after that, we lost Sadie, my sweet yorkie girl. We took it especially hard, but my son comforted me by telling me that Sadie had to go because Dad needed one of the pups with him in heaven. Roy was a true animal-lover, and he fell head over heels for the yorkies. Each one became his dog. He even tried to ignore Ben a little so I could bond with him. Ben loves me but he always loved Roy best. But so do I! We can't know what heaven will really be like, but it makes me feel better thinking I will be there with all my loved ones -- human and canine.

I sure was glad to hear the signs were a prank. That would be horrible if churches really engaged in that sort of bickering!
