Snow.. snow and more snow!!!!

Why would they want you to show up? I am a teacher and I have never heard of our school calling in ANYONE. That don't make sense. I guess it is because you get paid so much! Not! The school clerical is the MOST underpaid people ever!

We don't actually have to go IF we want to use a personal or vacation day and forget about being sick during any Winter weather because they will dock you since you aren't allowed to be sick during snow . . . They actually called us on this past ice storm and said "disregard the 10am reporting time, we are giving you the day" which was nice. I was in no way driving there anyhow during an ice storm . . . My husband on the other hand had to report to work at 11am . . .same town of employment, the Mayor made that brilliant decision. Not sure who was going out to the Town Hall to do any business during an ice storm? Anyways, with my husband at work, I chipped away at my 40 foot long driveway and removed all the ice so he can safely get back up the driveway . . .3 1/2 hours it took me . . . I just can't take anymore . . .really and now tomorrow with another snowstorm and they keep saying that next Thursday looks "interesting" I really need to move down South . . .

3 inches is nothing more than a light dusting here, but I know you guys have a hard time driving when it is dry out! Be careful out there. It is always more dangerous making the drive to Corsicana than it is hunting the hogs with a knife.

Oh my goodness! That is terrible!

We got more snow today. Arrived at school at 7:20. They sent us home at 8:45. Another day to make up.

I wish we had 3 inches of snow. As it is, I don't think I'll see the ground again until July. I thought we got 16 inches, but the weather service released the totals for all of the towns in the county and listed it at 20 inches. Of course, that isn't counting the huge drifts! We got a quarter-inch this evening. Supposed to have more snow Sunday and more around Wed-Thurs. Come on up and have some fun! Most of the schools up here haven't been open since Monday.

Maybe they need to check into the legality of that, before they enforce it.
