It takes talent to get on AI but to win it is based on where you live. You have to live in the South to win plain and simple.

i'd love to see a show on tv where they actually had to get up and always play a variety of instruments and learn new ones too. that would show true musical ability. lots and lots can sing, can you play a saxaphone with a week's practice? I CAN I CAN I CAN!!! I can pick up any instrument and teach myself a song on it. A true musician can play anything and everthing they handle with very little time put into learning it.

i love watching AI with the new judges but in the long run it's still just a karaoke show and kinda a joke on REAL musical talent. take JLo for example. she's beautiful, GREAT actress (one of my favs) but as a VOCAL singer she's not that great. she can dance around and kinda sing little dittys but she's no Jewel or Adele.

Steven Tyler is a scream singer, which is awesome, but he's no Michael Buble, Sinatra, or Josh Groban.

And what the heck does Randy know about singing? He's a producer right? He's not a singer or musician himself is he??

not to mention your first audition are with producers who have NO musical background whatsoever and you have to impress FIVE levels of producers to get to the celebrity judges several days later when they fly in in secret.

it's a joke guys. hate to be a downer, it has changed the lives of lots of people, but it leaves lots of other talent in the dust at the mercy of no talent producers.

Im glad Haley is gone, terrible attitude. I think Scotty will be the one that sells the most records, wheather you like his looks or not.

I did enjoy the look on her face when Ryan read Lauren's name...lol Think, "Miss all that" was very surprised...lol
It does look as if Scotty will probably win but I still don't like him. His voice is fine, but there's so many out there just like him...boring.. Lauren I think is just a cute girl and with training and experience will do well. They both will...i won't be buying anything, but I'm sure some people will. I just didn't see a real AI on there all season. I liked James, but he was NO Adam. Just didn't have the voice.
I'm enjoying the Voice and looking forward to some of the new shows that are coming up.

The last time I bought a new music CD was Talor Hick's first cd after he won. I listened to it once and that was it. I wasn't that impressed. I will most like buy one of Scotty's when his comes out.

Is the Voice a talent show? When does it come on and what chanel? I will have to check it out.

Overall I have enjoyed this AI season. Even though it does not always go the way I would like it to I still enjoy it.

He played the bass and was a musician long before he was a producer. (I think he played with Journey.)

I think this ought to be AI's last season. I just don't enjoy it any more so won't watch it if it comes back. I think the real talent on the show was always Simon! :p
