| If I could work with celebs I would much rather be in costuming.

| Thor's Human Donating Member | I don't get it, and it's going to drive me crazy if it's not explained to me. Are the smiley sunglasses knock offs or something?

| Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | I just remembered something about one of these fashion forums that is really sad... I think it was maybe around a year ago I was on one of these forums in the Juicy section. There was a women who owned her own business, she was single and had no children and not very many friends. She said she would work until 4/5am in the morning in her office which is at home. And she obviously had lots of money. She had a personal shopper more or less EVERYWHERE and she was trying to make friends online. The odd person would chat to her but thats it. One day she came on was showing us all of the Juicy stuff she had just bought that day from her personal shopper thingy, anyway she had spent thousands of pounds in Juicy and posted pictures of everything she had just bought. A couple of people said "oh ive been searching for that item for a long time do you think you personal shopper could hold it for me?" ... she said yes, and then hundreds of people JUMPED on the thread. It was over 15 pages long of people asking her to buy them stuff through her personal shopper and they would send her the money through Paypal. She wrote a list and went shopping the next day and I bet she spend a heck of a lot of money. Suddenly these people were her 'friends' ... I just found it really sad that most didnt want to be friends or chat with her until they found out she had a personal shopper at Juicy, they totally used her for it. I really hope she got the money from them because if not then that just adds to the sadness... ![]() She sounded really lonley and I think she was only doing it so she had someone to talk too.

I am not into the whole "look who's label I just bought" generation. In fact... my mother who is in her late 70's just purchased me a new purse as she stated that mine was 100 years old and looked it! I am most happy in my decade old cotton sweats, and unless I am in a business environment, thats what you will find me in. I have no desire to out-buy or out-collect material items, which are fleeting at best, in the whole aspect of ones short designated time here on earth. My only collection consists of my library. I collect knowledge. I know....pretty outdated, but what can I say, I am pretty outdated! | |

Before you'd find me in a mall you'd have better luck locating me in the antique stores. I just love wondering who owned those pieces before me....

| I love antiques too! Sadly i had to sell a lot of my collection. At least antiques don't really lose their value. All I have left really is a 1930s Underwood typewriter, and old roll top desk (don't know how old), a penny farthing bicycle, a pair of victorian boots. Wow, it is almost all gone. ![]()
