| Recommendations for "point & shoot" pocket camcorder I'm having a problem finding a pocket camcorder I like. I bought a Kodak Zi8 pocket camcorder and don't like the software or the camera. So I took it back and bought an Ultra HD Flip pocket camcorder. I love the camera and the software but it isn't compatible with Vista Home Basic and when I play videos they are jumpy. I don't take a lot of videos so I don't want to spend a lot of money on one (would like to keep it under $150). Any suggestions?

| Camcorder or camera? I just got a new camera that I love. FRYS.com*|*CANON I got it for less than $150. I see the price went up.

| I tried a camcorder for that price range, and really, it was not worth one penny I spent on it.

| The Flip videos are crystal clear. I may just end up buying an upgraded version of Vista but I'd rather not.

| I have the Kodak PlaySport. Are all Kodak products incompatible with Vista? I use the Apple software. Are you sure it was the camera software and not the editing software that was causing the jumpiness?

| No, Kodak products work fine with Vista. I didn't like the quality of the Kodak camcorder I had. It wasn't high definition and the videos were grainy most of the time. Can you use the Apple software even if you don't have a Mac? I do have iTunes that I use with my iPhone4. What Apple software program do you use? The Flip is a great little camcorder. Maybe it's the editing software but when you plug the camcorder USB into your computer it opens the Flip Software program. The video downloads instantly. The issue is when I'm watching the video. It's not a "smooth" video and is all jumpy. Maybe I'll see if I can download using a different program. I like the fact that it's a direct upload to Facebook and YouTube with the Flip software program.

| You have to have a Mac to use Kodak's software to upload, and then I use Mac's IMovie to edit. Maybe the jumpiness is something that can be fixed. That doesn't sound right. I'm not tech savvy. I would look for a Flip or Microsoft forum and ask around. The Kodak PlaySport is high definition and really easy, and waterproof! Britster made a great video last summer of Jackson swimming. It's $120 on Amazon, plus the price of the SD card (is that what it is called? ) Not sure about being able to load directly to YouTube or Facebook.

| Clarification of above: the Mac software with Kodak will only work on a Mac. Of course, the camera comes with Windows software.
