| My Son Just Got a Morkie - Any Help In Navigating Appreciated Just got my son (five years old) a new Morkie for Christmas! He is so happy with his new puppy, who is very happy to be home with us. Was just wondering if there was anyone out there with advice as to where I should read up on all the 'do's and don'ts' about raising this little beast! Any help is appreciated, and of course, MERRY XMAS!!!! |

| Perhaps a trip to the book store is in order? You will find many books to chose from. If you have specific questions, then ask away. And read up on this forum -- there is already a lot of good information posted here.

Up near the top of the page you're reading you'll see a "Forums" tab...click on that & many categories of topics will show up that will most likely answer many questions you have now & maybe even some you haven't thought of too. Good luck with the new puppy

| Congrats on the new puppy! I've got a morkie too. He's Cooper (the left pic on my avatar). I just found this thread which looks like a great start: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...w-parents.html

| If you look at the beginning of each forum here, you will see "stickies" or posts that are permanently kep on top. They are full of great information and advice. The Yorkie Puppy Care Guide is one of the the stickies on the General Yorkshire Terrier Discussion Forum. There are more that you should read in the other forums too. Most of the really good information that has been presented here about new puppies has been turned into a stickie on one forum or another. Welcome to Yorkie Talk. There is a sister site that is for Maltese owners -- you can join both forums!
