I don't see any reason why this man should ever be able to have a dog. It's just too much abuse in the past.

I have been checking that ever since I watched the episode DogTown on Netflix a few months ago.

While it was hard to watch in the begining, it does lighten the heart to see these poor babies find joy in life.:)

Michael Vick is an example of someone who played and now does not like the price. The Court said NO dogs....and that should stick. Period.

I don't know if things have changed in the last 20 years, but it use to be thought that pedophiles could not be rehabilitated or cured, much like an alcoholic. Once an alcoholic, you are always an alcoholic same with pedophilia. Surgical castration, chemical castration, and all type of therapy, had no permanent effect, the temptation was always there. Other types of abusing behavior can be cured, and people who have physically and verbally abused children, can be rehabilitated with the right therapy. I don't think you can compare a sexual abuser with a physical abuser, and therefore cannot conclude that he cannot change.

I'm NOT defending him, and I really haven't read the details of case. I've only seen pictures of winning dogs who left the ring, and that was enough for me to want to jail any one who is involved in these fights, and that means the spectators as well. I'm not saying he has changed, only that is possible for him to change. I agree with those of you who've said that he needs to "prove" he changed, and there are many things he could do to show people this. I think the first thing he should do, is stop complaining that his kids don't have a dog, but be thankful that his kids are learning that there are consequences for our behavior, that reach far beyond ourselves, and money doesn't always make it all better. At least, I hope that's the case.

Forget all of that. I honestly don't care if he changes. The Court decision was NO MORE DOGS.
Michael Vick needs to pay the FULL price imho.
He can go volunteer and show people he has changed, but the decision was as above...and should stick. PERIOD

Besides the fact that Pacelle has probably killed alot more Pit Bulls than Vick (due to euthanasia).

Me "how's it feel to play with a scum bag like Vick." May we never forget what he did and I'll keep posting about it until the day I die, so it's not forgotten.

I think he served his time and is deserving of a second chance and I really really dont have compassion for animal abusers. But I do believe everybody has the ability to change if they want to

We always get along Chachi and everyone is entitled to their oppinions, but remember there was no second chance for his animals. Some dead, some having to live the rest of their lives in sactuaries because they are considered dangerous and those given a second chance in a home, suffer the mental scars and they will for the rest of their lives Have a Merry Christmas. I guess I draw the line at second chances for abusers of animals or children. Why should the perpetrator get a second chance when the victims don't?
