Thor's Human Donating Member | Based on the date of this review, I would say 1st gen. Hardware and Game Review: Kinect and ?Kinect Adventures? for XBox 360 | The Flickcast I know you're going to say that it's not a good idea to be bleeding edge, and you're right. Weigh that, however, against how much I want to have one right now. IwantitIwantitIwantit! <Stomps foot>

| Your call I suppose. The only thing my brothers splurge on is Halo. Anything Halo they pre-order. Anything else, they wait until it is on sale for super cheap. We might be behind the times when it comes to certain games, but we enjoy them regardless. Let me just put this out there.... Vista vs windows 7. I think I said enough. It does look pretty tempting.... I think I'll sit back and wait for my brothers to buy it. No sense in spending my hard earned money on video games when my furbutt needs a new t-shirt.

Thor's Human Donating Member | This is a great point. Thankfully I did miss out on Vista, and went straight to Windows 7. The thing is though, it's not like I have the Windows XP of video game consoles, and I'm considering an upgrade. I still play video games on my COMPUTER, with a MOUSE. That's how bad the situation is.

YT Addict | Just a word from the wise when playing these games is to stretch before you play! When I first got my PS Move I was playing the gladiator game and the next day I was soooooooo sore!

Thor's Human Donating Member | I have an unhealthy relationship with my iPhone, but otherwise, Macs - pffffft. They're nice enough if you don't need to accomplish any real work. Yes, I went there!

Although..... I'm secretly loving the ipod. I know, I know, I'm anti apple anything, but there is a really cute game called "cut the rope" where you feed a cute little monster candy. He gets so sad if he doesn't get his candy. It gets me every time!!!! If I get it, it will be just so I can have that game.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Yeah, while Mac users are putting together videos and designing websites, we PC people are the backbone of this country! I do love how the iPhone is super streamlined easy to use, because it's my phone. I had a Blackberry for a while, and I could not for the life of me figure it out. And I'm a programmer! Anyhoo, I see the xbox 360 comes with 4gb of memory or 250! That's a huge swing. Is the 250 gig for storing movies or something? How big is the average movie? What's the benefit of 250 vs. 4?

| I just talked to my bro and he said these new consoles upload the games into the hard drives so it takes less time to load when you play. It's not like the old school days when you pop in the disk and it only reads off the disk. So if you are gonna get a ton of games or games that are with super graphics I'd go for the higher one.

Thor's Human Donating Member | Microsoft minion. I started off in investment banking over ten years ago, then switched to Excel financial modeling, then started programming in Excel VBA, then VB6, then totally missed the boat on .NET, then got more heavily into SQL Server. I'm half consultant, half programmer. It definitely hurts me that I didn't have the formal background: I am mystified by hardware, largely incompetant in networking, etc. However, I have good consulting skills, and financial knowledge. I went to the PASS Summit last week and had nerdgasms the whole time. I learned a ton about database programming, and finally feel like I'm past the intermediate stage there. And you?
