Turkey hunting does sound like fun. Except for salmon, I've never killed anything bigger than a mouse, but if I did it would be a turkey. They are scary ugly. |

Also, their presence will make the deer more comfortable and hopefully make them think there isn't a predator around. |

I never thought about that :( They were making so much noise that I didn't think the deer would come around. Lesson learned! As far as being President... I don't know about that. You can't be Southern and not know how to BBQ LOL One of these days I plan on making a trip up to Alaska for some salmon fishing! |

Nah, I grew up in a lousy hunter family. I did the NRA course and went out ever year in my youth. And not one of us got a deer. I think I lost interest. Plus, up here there are always good hunters willing to share their meat. |

I'll take a stab at this, but I will admit it's without any experience with ribs. I used to try and cook EVERYTHING the same way I cook T-bone and hamburger... over a VERY hot fire for quick searing/cooking. I'm thinking ribs should be cooked slowly over a low/medium hot fire? EDIT - Oops, not posted fast enough, but it WAS a good guess, right? |
One of these days, I'm going to get a fancy side burning cast iron grill. QUESTION - What is the proper and guaranteed method to seasoning one of those grills??? |
