| World Poker Tour! I wish I could quit my job and get into it! I think I could hold my own, I do pretty good! Last cruise we went on I came in 2nd in a tourney and won $450. I also will play cash tables at Foxwood casinos or Mohegan Sun and have won $200-$300 in a hour. (this is not often though) One time I played a tournament at the Luxor Hotel in Vegas and came in 7th out of 100 people, I made it to the final table. Unfortunately they paid the top 6 places!!! hahaha my luck! It just seems like so much fun to get into that. I know it's like a $10,000 buy in, but people go out in 300th place and win like $40,000 or something. I just think it's sooo cool and I wish I could do that as a job.... just go to casinos and play poker! How fun!!! Anyone else have a totally out there, thrilling dream job they would like??

| You and me both! I am a very addicted poker player and I get soooo addicted to watching those when they come on TV. I would LOVE to go play in one of those...where I'm sure all the people who could really play would laugh and call me names. Hubby went and played at the Hard Rock in Tampa not long ago, just for fun on a business trip. He told me when he came back and said that he had fun, it was low key, just tourists and all, but that he thought I would do much better than he did down there. (He knows I'm the better player.) We used to have poker night 2x a week, but ever since our poker pals moved to ATL, I've been having withdrawls and it's just not the same trying to play online. |

| On a side note, have you ever tried out one of the poker nights at Hooters? (don't laugh). They are really fun and the buy in is not much at all....only like $20 or something. |

| There is no Hooters near me... but in a town near me there is a card room that we can play poker. We might do that saturday night. When I was with my ex we used to play poker all the time for like $10 or $20 buy in and have 20 or so people. I usually came in 1st or 2nd... but that was just house games. I do miss it though, I wish I knew more people who wanted to play. It was mainly HIS friends who all played!

| Yeah...that would be a bit of a drive. Funny story: We speant a weekend at the lake w/ some friends this summer. One guy had brought his new girlfriend and was trying so hard to impress her, including teaching her how to play poker when we sat down that night. He kept trying to talk like a pro, using all these fancy poker terms while we poked fun at him and tried to keep a strait face. At one point I reached up and was messing with my ear and he tells her, "Now, do you see what she just did? Touching her ear like that? That's called a "tell.'" I said, "No Wes! That's called I still have water in my ear and it's starting to hurt like heck!" |

| hahahaha that is funny!!! Yeah, some people take things sooo seriously! When we had house games, I had to wear sunglasses after awhile. A lot of times it came down to my ex's cousin and me as the last 2 players. And he used to STARE me down for 5 mins before he'd play his hand. OMG... it was sooo nerve wracking. I started wearing my sunglasses just to make him laugh! I totally see why some of those guys/girls wear glasses. It may look stupid because they are indoors, but man some of those stares are sooo disconcerting!

| Have you ever seen the guy who wears the sunglasses with the holographic eyeballs on them? Talk about nerve wracking! I've never played where I had to be that serious, but I did play one night when I had my creepy looking red contacts in. No one wanted to look me in the eye then. |
