| Lady Saves 5 Children from Fire I was really touched by a news story about Tomarra Finley in Louisville, Kentucky. She braved extreme conditions and helped 5 children to safety when her house was on fire. Then she succumbed to the fire and did not make it. 3 of the children were her own and 2 were nieces. She died a hero. This is what mankind is supposed to be about -- putting the lives of children before our own, risking our life to make sure they are safe. As sad as this is and I feel so bad for those who have lost Tomarra, the story is a testament for humankind! So many stories of parents abusing, neglecting, or even killing their children. Indifference and apathy abound. But here a woman stood strong against the heat, smoke and horrible fear that must have gripped her. She put the children first and made sure they would live. God bless her! I don't know her or anyone in Louisville, but the story just really had an impact on me today.
