| Disappointed with Halloween Costumes I was disappointed with Trick or Treaters last night! No creative costumes! I remember working on my costume for weeks before Halloween when I was a kid! Now kids go to the store the night before Halloween and just throw something together. Did anyone see any creative costumes last night?? However, for anyone who has seen Napoleon Dynamite - this is my nephew and his friend as Napoleon & Kip. I laughed all day thinking about these costumes...

| What cute costumes... I rememeber getting so excited to come up with a creative costume and I agree, alot of kids today get store bought ones.. I think my best costume ever was when I was in 6th grade... I was the energizer Battery Bunny!! My dad made me my costume with a broken elbow and wrist!! i won 1st place in a contest.. If i can find a picture of it, i'll scan it in here and post it

| I get tons of kids where I live so I got to see quite a few costumes last night. I would have to say…70% were princesses or fairies—real girly stuff like that. And instead of bags and buckets for their candy, they had these cute drawstring purses. I have to say, I was pretty impressed. The kids in my hood went all out this year; they looked great. But yes, all store bought costumes, no homemade.

| I agree!!!! Everything was from the store. I just think that the parents just dont have the time!!! My mom always made our costumes every year, but she was a stay at home mom and had the time!!! I have had parents tell me that they wish they could make costumes like they had when they were little, but there is just not enough time. But I think you can always make time if you really want to!!!!! So going to the store is easier and quicker! When I was little, my mom even sold her homemade costumes at craft shows!!!!! They were always a hit!!!!

| I am kinda annoyed that while driving to my church's fall festival yesterday, I saw many teenage trick-or-treaters and they were just wearing jerseys and skateboarding crap but I watched them go door to door for candy. Thats crap! My mom made my costumes when I was little too and they were awesome!

| I didn't get any trick or treaters (well i got my 2 neighbors)... Josy and I went to see Saw II... As many of you know... Jody and I dressed up as a Met and Yankee fan.. I was a girlie girl Yankee fan that beat him up (its ironic because he is a bodybuilder so that was the funny part of it).. We had a really good time.. We are already planning next years outfits!! I posted these pics already but I'll post again

| I LOVE the Napolean Dynamite costumes! Your nephew's friend makes an awesome Kip! I love your nephews moon-boots!! Now those are some creative kids- I bet they were the talk of the town! FireFish- I also love Bat "Gor"! She is too cute! Having seen some pictures of your son before, it's just a shame that he chose a costume with a mask!! LOL! How's Jacki, by the way? |
