| Seeing the posts about shotguns reminded me of a story a friend told me. Her husband had been out hunting and she happened to be putting his gun away when the doorbell rang (you guessed it, church group). She answered the door still holding the gun and politely told them they were not interested. She said their eyes got big and they quickly left. |

| "Hindu is such a beautiful religion. It was by far one of my favorite religions in my World Religions class in college. Do you study yoga in the classic (eastern) way, then? That too is such a lovely practice " posted by Wylie's Mom.I find that the yoga and stretching, the meditation, and the spirituality have kept me balanced during the craziest of times. It gives me the ability to quiet the storm that is outside the door. ![]() |

| I live in the country but still occasionally get religious folks at the door. I don't mind at all as long as they are courteous and understand I have my own religious beliefs. To tell the truth, at my present location for 18 years and have never had anyone persist after I tell them I have a church and thank them for their concern. I understand most are doing this as a volunteer activity because they want to bring the unchurched to their religion. That is fine, but if any tried to convert or kept coming back after I told them I was already connected.....I would be upset and would probably not be nearly as friendly in turn. Those who don't heed signs asking for no solicitation, no trespassing, etc... don't deserve courteous treatment.

| YT Addict | Since I live in the country nobody bothers to come out there, but I did puppy sit in a subdivision a few summers ago. There was a Golden Retriever puppy and a full grown Golden, and apparently these people were afraid of them. I was upstairs and I heard the dogs barking and the house had an open upstairs so I looked down the stairs to see what they were barking at this poor old woman and a child (about 8) were running away they just threw the pamphlet on the porch and bolted! It was a pretty funny sight to see though!

| Kacee and I were walking in our subdivision and we saw them going house to house. That makes twice this week. Wednesday and Saturday!

| I probably wouldn't be so upset it Prince wasn't sick. He has CT and is having a rough time right now. When they ring the bell, if upsets him, he starts barking, and his breathing get worse. I put the note cards "No _______ ________!!" on the steps, so hopefully this works...the one by the doorbell didn't! Hopefully I won't be on the news tomorrow..."Yorkie mom gone wild!"

| I live at the end of a dead-end street. About 6 years ago, after Hurricane Ivan hit us on the AL-FL coast, we had people up in our driveway and yard just sightseeing (or casing the place). After some A--bag decided that our front yard would make a nice place to spin out in (I mean tires spinning and mud and smoke flying!!!), my DH put up a sign at the entrance of our driveway. It is a regular street Stop sign and a No Tresspass, No Solicitation sign he got from work. It works for the most part, but occasionally we still have some hardy souls that want to "invite" us to their church. |

| P.S. Don't you just LOVE the ones that make a snotty comment when you let them know you're not interested? Especially when you go out of your way to be polite to them! |

| I put my little signs out on our front steps, and no one rang our doorbell. I think it was because it was raining cats and yorkies. I'll see what happens next Sunday.

| I couldn't believe it, but I saw them driving up our addition again this week while we were walking! They were here twice last week. They must keep going to houses where no one is answering the door. I know I've seen them at one lady's house twice and she was home both times.
