| Fellow Book Readers: Cool Site & More Suggestions As I know a lot of you like to read a lot, like me, I wanted to share this really cool site I found last night. You create a profile, pick the books you've read, the ones you own and specifiy if you have any you're willing to trade and ones that you want. (It will send you an alert if someone has one that you want, and you have one they want.) You rank the ones you've read, can give reviews, connect to friends and see what they are reading and what they have. If you are waiting on one to be released, it sends you messages about changes in release dates and local events related to the release. Overall, really cool site. Here is a link to my ID, which will take you to the site (or let you befriend me and I can see what you are reading, etc) Check out my bookshelves on Goodreads - where you can see what your friends are reading. http://www.goodreads.com/friend/i?i=...I3ODYwOTY6MzU3 Also, a few more suggestion on what I've read this HOT HOT summer that I really liked, as I know there are several of you that like the same sort of stuff I do. Starting with the ones I liked the most: Of course, Mockingjay, but that's old news, right? The Mortal Instruments Series (Infernal Devices is the Prequel series) The Maze Runner (2nd installment coming out next month) Hush, Hush (2nd installment out next month) Fallen (2nd installment out next week) I read Wake (2nd books Fade and Gone) and HATED it! It was incredibly short and like reading a cliff notes version of a good story. Huge letdown as I'd heard really good things about the series. I'm planning on starting Beautiful Creatures tonight...anyone feedback on that one? Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-21-2010 at 05:09 AM. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Your thread just reminded me that I haven't finished a book since we brought Scarlett home A couple that I did finish before that point were: The 19th Wife (which was MUCH better than the awful version on Lifetime the other night) The Art of Racing In The Rain Snowflower And The Secret Fan And when I want quick, fun reads, I'll always reach for the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich.
