I'm not going to touch this with a 10 foot pole. |

When I see posts & posters with what is considered by many unethical breeding practices, I speak up! After four years there are more and more people using this site to sell puppies and though there are plenty of reputable breeders on this site, there are way too many that are highly questionable and any potential buyer should be made aware of breeders that scream out "red flags." I think the OP has every right to post this and and everyone that responds has a right to defend one way or another. Bottom line, people are going to speak up with frankness, bluntness. People are going to continue to help, educate and call out questionable breeders, etc.. I know I will! I think being totally honest it's breeders, sick Yorkies/vet care and buying situations that bring a lot of heat to posts and since this site is dedicated to the love of Yorkies, that isn't going to change! |

@Bamafan....I agree with you on some things... Now I don't know about everyones elses encounter with "rudeness" on here, but with what I have experienced...there's no OPINION. It is as clear as filtered water that that this person was being rude. I started a thread when I 1st registered here at YT. It was about me lookin ( & still looking ) for a yorkie, how I'm in college yadda yadda yadda. Well this breeder posted & she is clearly one of the elders here....been here for years & had thousands of posts under their belt. They were VERY helpful & knowledgable (sp?) about breeders & picking out yorkies. Then they recommened a breeder to me...but they were too far, & I told her I wanted to stay local. They were being helpful & kept giving me reasons y I should pick this breeder but I kindly rejected the offer & said I wanted to stay local. Well they mustve gotten fustrated with me & said: "Well, the breeder I recommended would probably have 2nd thoughts about placing a pup with a college student anyway." .... HOW is that ^ statement helping me....is that advice?....NO & if you KNEW this from the beginning why would you recommend them? Now this is the opinion part....I felt that was said out of spite. :-\ Since I didnt want to go to your breeder...all of a sudden they wouldn't give me a pup ANYWAY? Hmmmm....interesting...... I must admit I did contradict myself because I asked about a breeder in TX, I had a dumb moment...but that was AFTER they wrote that rude comment. I thanked them for they're help & info & went on my merry way. I have seen that same member in other threads really helping people out that's why I kinda let it go. |

I think you've posted in my thread & gave me good advice ( or maybe I've seen your posts in other threads & thought it was great advice ).......idk..... but I have no problem with you, & nothing in my response was directed towards you. & to be honest I don't want to read that thread because it has nothing to do with me. That's between you & the OP. :) |

Its like you come on your thread to see all the great responses then you see that one unnecessary comment & its like Where the HECK did that come from?!? Lol |

In addition, I thought she made a very good point. Would you get a free pass to push someone out of a wheelchair, just because you donate 1000s to charity? (Of course, my first question would be, what did the guy in the wheelchair do?;)) It's funny....100s of positive posts are not enough to justify someone as a "good person," yet a handful of negative ones are enough to condemn them. How's that for logic? I'm not going to say that "rude" or "mean" comments don't cause for negative vibes on YT...but so do threads like where everyone has a whine-fest and calls names. So yes, IMO, that is like the pot calling the kettle black. Thing is, it doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I'm certainly guilty of venting about things and blowing off steam, who isn't? But if you express an opinion, you can count on someone else viewing it the opposite way. Doesn't make anyone "right", just different. In the end, it won't matter. Like previously mentioned, this topic has been discussed 564254 times before. In the end, either people will learn to deal with it, or they'll let it upset them. A few years from now, you'll most likely either 1) not even be here anymore, or 2) have a completely different understanding of opposing points of view. |

Again, if you read something in a post you originated and you don't like the response, just gloss over it. Your blood pressure will thank you for it and you'll live longer. :p But when you come on a public forum and you ask for advice/opinions, be prepared to get them. No one is immune to having their posts taken the wrong way or being perceived as mean/rude etc. And if the advice given doesn't apply to or fit your particular situation, move on. But it just might help the next person or make someone think before doing something. As for the shirt colors: Does that come in pink? |
I have read this thread and have to admit that everyone is right! (I am Switzerland.....and am remaining neutral, and thats that!:D ) |

BTW~I am one of those people that have been a shoulder to turn to when one is needed. I've offered tons of private advice both in PM and by phone. I'm a strong supporter of rescue and I'm there when others need someone for help. It is when all the positive members offer advice and their experience that make YT a great learning place. It's too bad that it is not better appreciated. :( |
