No Longer a Member | My First Dog My first dog Maximus Prime (lol, Max) is now 10 years old. I got him from a shelter when I was 13, and raised him up until a couple years ago. He was the sad puppy that his siblings all picked on, so naturally he came home with me I had to go to Korea where I couldn't take him so I found him a good home for the year that I'd be there. When I went to pick him up I saw how happy he was, so I decided to leave him there because the woman who adopted him was so attached, as is her son. I miss him dearly, but I know he is with a great family...sorry it's a random post I guess, but just thought about him today, going to email his now mom to see how his 85lbs of love are doing |

| You have committed such a selfless act by allowing his adoptive family to keep him. You should be so proud of yourself.

No Longer a Member | It was really hard to give him up, but I'm glad I did because he loves kids and that is something I lack. She says he is doing great, and still acts like a puppy. It probably helps that he has another shelter puppy following him around. He is always looking to please, and still learns new tricks So what they say about "can't teach an old dog new tricks" obviously isn't true. |

| He's a beautiful dog and I can see why he caught your eye. He's very lucky to have had someone to come along to save him and when you couldn't be there to find him a great family to live with. I'm sure you miss him very much, but you made a selfless decision in leaving him with his new family.
