Which book are you reading at the moment? Which book are you reading at the moment? What chapter are you up to? And are you enjoying it so far? :p Im reading 'The secret life of a slummy mummy' by Fiona Neill, Im only on the 8th chapter... Its okay so far but Im not really 'into it' yet. Anyone else?? |
I just finished reading "A Dog's Purpose" I cried and smiled thru the whole book. Great read. |
A Rumor of War by Phillip Caputo. Been meaning to read it for the past 30 years, and finally doing it. Then, Fields of Fire by Jim Webb, and the life of John Basilone. |
Right now I am reading The Glass City, the 3rd final book in The Mortal Instruments series. About half way through it now. VERY good series.:thumbup: I am trying to pace myself so that I finish it just before Aug 24th, which is when Mockingjay, the 3rd and final installment of The Hunger Games series is release. (Which I know several of you are anxiously awaiting as well!) After that I am going to read The Maze Runner, which is the first of a 3 book series and the only book out so far. I bought it a few weeks ago after hearing great things about it. I like to go to B&N and type in a book I like and then see the suggestions at the bottom of the screen--this one kept showing up all the time, so I thought I'd give it a go. As I feel inspired, and have time and nail down pieces of the plot, I'm taking breaks, mostly late at night, to work on the book I'm writing, which I aim to finish by the end of the year. So, that's my reading agenda. :) |
Veterinary Pharmacology something or other... I'm such a nerd. |

Will your next book be the Physician Desk Reference? :D |

Reading? What is that? LOL! I LOVE to read and used to do it all the time.....and then I got 3 dogs! Some day I hope to get that time back......until then it's cleaning up poop, changing out pee pads, and playing "toys" for me. :D |
I'm reading the last novel in the Twilight series Breaking Dawn . . .I have to say, I never thought I would be into Twilight, but the books are completely captivating . . .much better than the actual movies . . . I started with the first novel Twilight in May . . .so as you can well see, I'm hooked! |
I'm reading 'Under The Dome' Stephen King. I'm not very far in yet, but it's good so far. I've been having a hard time staying interested in a book lately, I think I have about six different books on the go right now. |
I jsut finished reading The Passage by Justin Cronin. It's about a post-apocalyptic world overrun by vampire-like creatures. I'm about to read EAT PRAY LOVE. I want to read the book before I see the movie. |

Good luck writing your book. Currently I'm reading The Island by Elin Hilderbrand. Not far enough into it to say if it is great or not, but got some pretty good reviews. |
I love Elin Hilderbran. Have you read he other books? They're good too. I am a reader, BIG time! And I'll ready almost anything. Right now I'm reading Home in Carolina by Sherryl Woods. She's a formula writer so I know I'lll like it....nice brainless reading to take my mind off of my reality. |
Just finished The Passage loved it. I hope there is a sequel. Just started Charlie St Cloud. I'm on chapter 6 it seems good so far but the story is just starting. |
Last really good book read "The Art of Racing in the Rain". I used to read voraciously, now I fall asleep unless it's really good and this one was. A great amount of it is narrated from the dog's point of view. Laugh, cry and sob at the ending triumph of it all. |

I also just finished reading the Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larsson - I kind of had a love/hate relationship with the series. Some of it was good and some not so good - translated from Swedish to English - so maybe that was part of the problem. Pat |

I agree! I refused to read them when they first came out. Because I hate scary things. My friend, an English teacher, insisted I read them. I finished Twilight in 48 hours!!!! It was great! Finished all the books and have seen all the movies that have been made. |
