A book called "JOSEPH the journey home" It's really good......and it's a true story.

I am reading The Vampire Diaries. It's also a tv series. It's very similar to New Moon etc. books. They are very good.

I just bought The Vampire Diaries. I will start that series as soon as I finish Spiderworld.

I see vampire books are popular :) I must admit I love them too..
I havnt read the Twilight books yet and its killing me! Every time I walk past them in a book shop I glare at them LOL but I dont want to read them before the films come out. My BF loves Twilight too but hes not a big reader so I know he will be wanting to go see the last film and I hate watching a film knowing what is about to happen.
So once the films are over I will be looking forward to reading the books :D

Right now I'm reading Home in Carolina by Sherryl Woods. She's a formula writer so I know I'lll like it....nice brainless reading to take my mind off of my reality.
Funny...I too love the escape from the real world that reading affords us.
I haven't read any other Elin Hilderbrands yet but I hear they are good.
I bought Home in Carolina too but haven't read that one either yet. I got caught up in a new author for me, R.C. Ryan. I'm reading book 2 of a trilogy...Montana Destiny. I love modern cowboy romance. Then I also love suspense and thrillers.

If you like Sherryl Woods you probably will like Debbie Macomber. She just released book 10 in a series I am reading called 1022 Evergreen Place.

Is that from the Sweet Magnolia series? I've read all of those.

I also like Dorothy Benton Franks....I don't know I am just drawn to the stories about the Carolinas.....

No, not the Sweet Magnolia Series. Each books title is an address. I believe the first was 16 Rainer Place. Just a wonderful series where you feel like you are part of the small town and all of the characters involved. I highly recommend them.
And thanks for the other author, I'm going to look into her as well. i too am interested in the Carolinas and Texas and pretty much any small town type stories. I do not come from a small town but maybe in a past life? : )

I am reading Eat Pray Love and am enjoying it but have had NO time in the last 2 weeks to read any of it. I'm 1/2 way through it. Its well written and entertaining!

I want to read World without end, its the sequel to Pillars of the Earth (which I HIGHLY recommend) but I have to go buy that one.

I am waiting for the 5th book to the FAE series by Karen Marie Moning in December to finish up that series.

Also my BF bought all the Harry Potter books. I have never read one of seen any of the movies. I hear they are awesome though, so I think Im going to read those. Probably this winter!

Ah, I feel like you've been so deprived now! Yes, the HP series is DEFINATELY a must...movies too! It's interesting how they progress and get a bit 'darker' as Harry gets older.

Missed this thread till now. Right now I'm reading Religious Literacy by Stephen Prothero. I usually have a difficult time finding time to read for very long at a sitting, but lately with all my appointments and in waiting rooms I'm doing better. I seem to buy books faster than I can read them. :D

I am reading "The Botticelli Secret: A novel"by Marina Fiorato right at this moment and I am almost done, after that I have "No Will but His: A novel of Kathryn Howard" by Sarah A. Hoyt and am waiting for my copy of "The Red Queen "by Philippa Gregory (I have eagerly awaited this book!).

Just finished reading James Patterson's 9th Judgement last night and started Charlie St Cloud-can't comment on it since I have read only 3 pages.
I'm have to admit, I'm a book stockpiler. I have a Doubleday book club membership and still pick up books in the stores. So this is what I have to read next:
Whitethorn Woods-Maeve Binchy-read a lot of her books-like the Irish stories
Don't Stop the Carnival-Herman Wouk-been wanting to read this since I returned from Haiti.
The Girl Who Played with Fire-Sieg Larsson-enjoyed the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
A New Earth-Eckhart Tolle-I've Had this book for quite a while and just can't get through it. and I just ordered
The Big Man-Clarence Clemmons-looks like lots a good stories about Asbury Park and Springsteen.

Black magic sanction by Kim Harrison it came out in February but i just got the chance last week. it is i think the 8 book in a series. the one before that was Bullet by laurel k. Hamilton it is the latest in the Anita Blake vampire hunter books.
my next book will be the 4 sookie stackhouse book

YES! I love the series it is actually my favorite. i think it is one of the best written series out right now,however i think you would have to like scifi/fantasy and have a tolerance for action.

OK, so I finished The Maze Runner last night. OH....MY.....GOD! Someone else here simply MUST read this book. It was great and the ending just floored me! "No...way!" I cannot WAIT for the 2nd one to come out in Oct!

But overall, mission accomplished...I finished it before Mockingjay's release. One more day!

The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey. Finished it last week and am now rereading it. I highly recommend...everyone should get on board and put the cc companies out of business!!
